Many parasites can be effectively treated with the use of salt, particularly Costia infestations. Sodium chloride (common salt; NaCl) is used to "treat" brown blood disease. Calcium chloride also can be used but is typically more expensive

How do you deal with evaporation? I have a small water fountain that takes at least a gallon a day in the summer, would adding this much or more tap water daily ruin the delicate habitat for fish etc?

When growing water lotuses from seeds, you just need to put them in water, and change the water everyday, and make sure they get sun.

I am part of a pond community forum and im getting some flack because I'm not using a filtration system, how well is your pond doing? I bought goldfish, guppies, minnows, and platy fish. I Also bought aquatic grass, and duck weed. Any suggestions?

You should buy fish that are naturally raised, they have better resistance. Fish from the store are accustomed to artificial oxygen, weak and easy to die. Add plants that can shade the aquarium .

@@phutucrafts ok thank you, I knew I was on the right path. I have water hyacinths that will cover the top very well. I will also be putting the containers in an area that's not direct sunlight. I will be purchasing a few fish from a local grower so that's perfect! Thank you so much!

@@itzvisheshff7418 table salt should not be used. If they did use table salt it will kill the fish. Only use aquarium salt

I do not change water, grow more aquatic plants to make clean water . Changing the water will make the habitat affected, which will cause the fish to die

Muối có tác dụng chữa bệnh (máu trắng) cho cá và làm tăng độ ổn định cho nước, chỉ bỏ 1 lượng ít thôi nhá .Cát cho sạch hồ cá nhá bạn, nếu trồng hoa súng hay sen thì 1 thời gian đất sẽ thành bùn

@@linhcam3315 tại sao bạn không đổ bùn bên dưới rồi chải 1 lớp cát bên trên sẽ sạch hơn. Thật sự thì trồng hoa súng hoặc hoa sen thì sau 1 thời gian cát sẽ trở thành bùn. Nhưng nó sẽ bớt ô nhiễm và đục nước hơn là đổ thẳng bùn ngay trên mặt :) . Trong video tôi đổ cát nhưng bây giờ chúng thành bùn hết rồi, nhưng lớp bùn này trộn lẫn cát nên chúng cứng hơn chứ không nhão như lớp bùn mua theo cây .

@@linhcam3315 Thật sự làm hồ nuôi cá tự nhiên kiểu này vô cùng đơn giản, chỉ cần biết 1 ít mẹo là cá sẽ không bị chết . Nên đừng nghĩ bỏ muối vào thì chúng sẽ chết, cá cảnh tự nhiên chúng sống trên các con suối và nước lợ (sông) trong các loại nước đấy vẫn có muối tự nhiên tồn động trong nước . Ngoài tiệm cá người ta bán các loại nước làm ổn định nước trong hồ cá, cũng là dung dịch hóa chất làm từ muối, các hồ cá tự nhiên thì lâu lâu cứ cho 1 lượng muối ăn vào sẽ giúp cá sát khuẩn . Trong nước máy các hóa chất tự nhiên cũng bị tẩy lọc nên cho thêm một ít muối ăn vào hồ cá sẽ giúp ổn định nước .

Umm... looks simple enough to do but can’t even begin the process if I do not know what type of soil/ sand is being mixed and whatever powder got thrown into the pot once it was filled with water. There should have been captions added letting the viewer know these things as each step was done. I would have rather read that instead of listening to that awful music.
