Sounds like a genuinely neat concept. A lot of Puppet Combo style games either have you as a completely powerless gal or guy running around in essentially a walking simulator, or pose you as a killer who does pretty much the same thing just the other way around. Making a game where the main character is sort of the villain, but also not in the act of being evil, more so dealing with the guilt of it is really neat. A cool concept to mess around with would be a sort of resource management type survival horror, except the resources are your mental states ie; sanity, hallucinations, guilt e.t.c. The player would have to navigate the house and avoid falling into insanity. Regardless of what route you take very excited to see where this project goes!
the kit for PS1 style games would be absolutely amazing, I can't explain how long I've spent making my own graphics for this style and they never turn out how I want them to. The kit would be such good help and inspiration!!

As an expert of retro games. I recommend to compress the sounds to be more "old". Add more movement to the item in your hand using sine wave and remove the sway cuz its too modern. To fix the problem with the doors just make an SurfaceGui on the door as a button and it will be clickable with the tool in hand.
What really makes a horror game scary are the ending cutscenes, like only bad endings. Whatever the player tries to do to get a good ending, he won't get it.. only bad endings..
Suggestion: make multiple enemies, the 3 people who are haunting, the police and what would be cool is a stalker enemy, a family member of one of the victims hunting you down.
What would be cool is that the game should start by you driving your van back home and very distant police sirens can be heard in the background. You arrive home and go to the living room where the tv suddenly turns on and shows a picture of you, telling the public that you have escaped and informing them about your murders. I think this would nake the players understand the story more

maybe if you're trying to make a survival game out of this like survive for a curtain amount of time while doing tasks, you could try to give each entity a uniqe way to get rid of them temporarily.
Yo, I’m not sure if you’re interested but I have some tips and some scripts for you that will make ur game look more appealing (in my opinion) I’m a game developer that mainly focuses on ps1 games, though I mainly focus on puppet combo like style games. You should make a video on how to make a blind monster that's sensitive to sound, would be very cool as there's no tutorials on how to achieve this besides regular path finding AI that also chases you when in its line of sight.
