need to make a stripper plate that will push the plate off the punch. I wouldn't worry about the slug following through the die the next part will push the slug out.

Your hydraulic press caught my eye. I'll check out your other videos. I have a 20 ton press that I had to upgrade the press pin. I had a guy weld on a 1/2 inch plate to the pin..

@@craigsmachineshop2040 It's possible you have some unintended draft on the die set due to tool deflection while milling. If that's the case it would be in the opposite direction from what was suggested above and could be causing the difficulty with stripping the part from the pin and why the slug stuck just a bit. Thanks for posting the video. I'm in the process of trying to figure this out myself and your video was informative.
@@TandaMadison Thanks, I'll have to measure it. I think is common for it to be difficult to strip which is why die sets usually have stripper springs. Since you mentioned it, I looked into it and found that they sell backdraft endmills. I will have to give one a try.

concave the punch then grind the mid alittle lower sides --- profile of a u then all the force isnt at once. baffles me even with easy mode you didnt make aliening
