Did the wood spin in the drill press and gouge your thumb before you clamped it? I wish I could say I hadn’t done this more than once. I wish I could say that I won’t do it again to be honest. Great looking piece by the way, fits the bathroom beautifully. 👏🏼 👍🏼

Matt have you considered a sled for your bandsaw? BTW how long have you thought out that toilet roll build while sitting on the throne? It looks great! No project is too small to do plenty of thinking about.

Tidy job. May I suggest you do it again another day. But add some of your artistic zest. Perhaps a backing plate extending up with a pattern of some badger inspiration. I’m only saying that because you mentioned enjoying the more artistic things as a change from pure function. So possibly combining the two!! If you wanted to you could sort of crowd source inspiration for how to add nice design features to otherwise simple things. Community engagement and all that. Definitely don’t throw out the tidy job you just did though. Keep smiling.
