I have a cousin who never studied much,we studied together but she gives most of her time to her phone than studies after writing the LSAT test she passed and I failed😣, I asked her how she did it, just found out she got her help from Mr Thomas ..
@@Luis-xr6ecyou will always remember that has you are billing your hours! Good luck you will be fine. Stanford and Michigan have produced great lawyers too. Plus about 20 others. 💪🏼❤️
$400 non refundable application fee, when my daughter thought of applying. Almost certainly much higher now. Acceptance rate for the undergrads is less than one percent. MILLIONS of dollars per year, for a university with one of the largest endowments in the world. My daughter was Valedictorian of the fifth largest public high school in the state of Missouri. Heavy volunteer for many charities, and FORTY hours of college credit in high school. Yet...she had no chance to be admitted to Harvard. Too many legacy scholarships, and I wasn't wealthy enough to purchase an admission for her. SMH.....
I’m sorry to hear about that. Your daughter’s intelligence, work ethic, compassion, and character mean infinitely more than any degree from an Ivy League school.
Congrats to those future HLS students! I always dreamed about getting the acceptance calls or offer letters from the school or job I desire. But it never happened.
I have tears in my eyes. It was never in the cards for me to receive such a phone call, but it is so amazing to hear that someone's dream has come true.
*gets call from HLS* "hi, this is from harvard law school" "OMG did i get accepted?" "No, we've Been Trying To Reach You About Your Car's Extended Warranty"
In my day, all we got was a letter in the mail, the thickness of whose envelope was a good indicator of what it contained. But the, in those days if you had an 800 LSAT and a GPA above 3.9 with a major in a rigorous discipline you probably knew when you sent in the application that you were going to get in to Harvard and Yale and that if you were rather below those objective measures your chances were not particularly high.
@@Matt-rg1hj The flip side of my comment was that several years ago at an alumni event, someone who claimed to be "on the inside" (though I doubted it) sauntered over to me and, apparently thinking that this would be a good introductory line to impress me with how high the standards are these days, told me that there is no way I would get in to HLS today. I asked why she had said that, and she answered that it's just statistics, that it's much harder today. Then I told her about the 800 and the 3.9+ and the master's degree in physics at age 20 . . . and about making Law Review on grades. She doubled down and said that for sure they're not looking for pointy-headed nerds from New York. I hope she was not speaking from a position of knowledge.
Not sure why acceptance calls/emails get me teared up so much and I'm a grown man lol Congratulations to anyone that got accepted anywhere in the world, you deserve it!
Heartwarming video, nice to see all the admission staff are young and friendly. When I was applying to Optometry school, the admission staff at all the schools I applied to were all old and intimidating.
@@christiann2175 It's when all of their students started protesting in support of genocide of the Jews and their now former President refused to acknowledge that calling for genocide of Jews was a violation of Harvard's code of conduct.
There is, but the rest of the world doesn’t call you when you get admitted. Most universities just send you a letter in the mail. The personal touch with the phone call is above and beyond. It’s not about how big the world is, it’s about who makes themselves stand out in the world.
"Good morning, you meet all the DEI checkboxes and your GPA is...good enough...you've earned your way into Law School! The only stipulation is we need to get a photo taken together for the media so we can exploit how diverse, equitable, and inclusive of people who don't identify as white or asian males we've become!"
I've never understood America's system about education and school, why should socioeconomic factors play a role, what if you can't pay that much, and if you can't pay that much you might as well lose the motivation to try and succeed. In my country everything is free, you even get paid to go to school, you can get about 500 USD a month for free. Or you can take a big loan and pay back in 25 years + you get the student aid with it also. I get about 1000 a month and I took 3000 USD in loans. I study math and physics and I'm also working on a research study.
There’s just something so heartwarming when people who already have everything going for them get to be put even that much farther ahead of the competition. It brings a tear to the eye.
Congratulations! You've been admitted to HLS Class of 2027, and I just wanted to make sure you understand how much this costs and walk you through our terms of payment. Are you ready to have that discussion? 😂
Imagine knowing from your rich dad that you are admitted thanks to his connections, like EVERY single one of the harvard kids, and still have to pretend that you are surprised. And she has to pretend that she does not know that you are not surprised XD
@@deejay554 100%? Lol. You are just salty. I know so many people who have gone to HLS (My brother included). Parents never went to harvard, or even college. Keep being salty.
This is amazing. I will say, it kills me how getting into Harvard doesn't really mean what it used to. What was once such an elite institution of higher learning has become so overshadowed by all the over-politicized, hyper-pandering that acceptance now feels like an entitlement rather than an accomplishment but still....feels good nonetheless.
I LOVE THIS! I have nothing to do with this industry at all, but somehow was gifted this by the RU-vid algorithm. What an awesome job perk! Thanks for sharing!
I'm imagining if DAVID Ramsey made the calls, with his views on going 300K in debt to get a degree! "Congratulations, now let me tell you how STUPID going to this school would be!"
Was it ever though? Maybe it just brought in really smart kids that would do good no matter what, then hypnotized them to be leftist .monsters. Maybe that's what Harvard always did and we just all figured it out.
@@brady3319 ok, you’ve posted 2 comments. Is 2 comments the limit before commenting becomes a temper tantrum? You’re a liberal so you’re entire existence is a temper tantrum. I doubt you went to Harvard so imagine white knighting for Harvard on a RU-vid video 💀
