All of the foam offcuts could have been used to make scatter scenery of tailings and waste stone. It is something that many modelmakers do not think of.

Nice job on the build! My only issue is it looks like you wasted a bunch of paint, mod podge, and styrofoam. Final result is great, and I like how you kept the minis in mind as you were making various areas for them on and around the piece.

Guilty as charged, I'm a pretty chaotic crafter and rarely know what I'm doing until I'm done. If it helps, those were scrap foam offcuts from a different build!

That foam seems very useful for crafting, does it have a specific name?

It does! XPS foam, or high density insulation foam. RP Archive did a really good writeup on where to find it: rparchive.wixsite.com/rparchive/buildingmaterials
