This turned out great! I love what you can do with such a short amount of time. I'd like to imagine you would save more time scanning a cork with something like polycam, but your results are great so you can't knock it!
I did think about polycam but am not familiar enough with it yet to work with the textures. Wasn't confident I'd be able to quickly clear out the old text and add in my own. Need to practice more!
BTW: Align images is like panorama stuff without the blending. If you roughly align the images and then run it it can yield nice results. Handy for face replacements too.
under quick actions to the right above the layers panel is the remove background button or self subject which is quicker than going through the menu. hope that helps next time.
Your videos are great for both knowledge and inspiration, thanks! Personal request for you to implement somehow if it ever fits a project: Animated chains with collision. Been trying to make a smooth disc golf animation for years but the chain animation always fail for me in blender :)
hmmm good challenge! For super realistic you could use rigid bodies but I bet if you're viewing it from a distance maybe a cloth sim with strips that have a chain texture.
Amazing content as always! Sometimes I wonder...You and @smeaf are made of the same material. Yous guys match in a lot of things such as Blender and CGI knowledge, clear teaching and communication skills....even the slow/calm voice are similar. I might be delusional...or not...ahaha. Anyways thank you and God bless!
I really enjoyed this tutorial, especially the linked objects with offset animations, however when i tried to replicate it, when i change the animation of one of the objects, they all get affected, although i am only selecting that single object, any idea how to unlink the animation while retaining linked objects?
Okay i guess i found the solution, after duplicating all the objects you can select them and go to Object -> Relations -> make single user -> object animation, i wanted to delete my original comment but said maybe it will be useful to someone to find out how to do it :D
it lacks just a LIL bit shake when it drops there, like theres no friction, no bouncing, no adjusting to the place, just perfect drop which looks artificial cuz whats perfect inrl, nothing. but thats just my liltle suggestion ofc
Switch to an older version of blender, I'm still using 3.1 because I'm too lazy to re-set the interface and addons. When I had my older laptop I remember that it crashed multiple times under heavy tasks. If possible try to buy some ram, have fun!
