Easy going Product + Design related Blender tutorials from an ex industrial designer. I make RU-vid tutorials because that's how I started learning in 2008.
Since I aim to keep my knowledge relevant and rooted with experience, my 13+ years of knowledge goes primarily into client work. I work directly with businesses and brands to produce top quality animation for new product launches, investment-seeking presentations and more.

This is fire 🔥 😅 Execute the PUN I think we now need to add sound design as well to bring that extra Fire 🔥 To The Vid. What happened to F.F it was an amazing concept. Would you be up for suggestions?
Thanks alot for this tutorial and other tutorials.. you av made learning 3d much more interesting for me.. please i followed your tutorial exactly how you taught but didnt get the result.. can you please help me out? Thanks
For some reason, the fire appears pixelated. What settings do I need to make it look smooth? And thank you very much for the tutorials, they are in a league of their own!
honestly one of the best tutorials. I loved it. I am trying to figure out how to do a champagne top now. The cage is throwing me for a loop. I did think about just tracing the outline of it with the foil on top which would follow your example.
What a great tutorial with so much care about all the many fine details - great! What I do not understand is the following: The bottle and the wine are made of transparent materials. Why does the rimlight only give this nice contour white line but doesn't shine through the bottle? In my version, I am working with blender v. 4.0, this is indeed the case. Does anyone has a clue? Is the reason only because of the different versions of blender? Thanks very much in advance!
I appreciate this breakdown step-by-step approach to materials in Blender - thanks Derek. I have one question - why use an emissive material to light up the scene instead of lights?
Hi derek! thank you very much for your tutorial. I have a problem with te bevel modifier. I followed the same steps but i cant see de change in the object. im using blender 4.1
Can anyone guide me on how to model a diaper pant? Especially the elasticated band? I am unable to figure out the exact keywords to find relevant videos. Please help.
Interface and learning curve in Blender is absolutely horrible, I use Modo, but Blender is impressive, however not for me. It takes ages to find tools, functions, and hundreds od useless and unworkable moves to achieve a simple tool set. Shortcut don't work correctly and using stylus is impossible with Blender. Sorry. I go to Plasticity.
