Yours would be way cooler and somehow be done in more like 10 minutes instead of 50... As well as have better jokes and life lessons to ponder. YALL CHECK OUT HIS CHANNEL
I'm glad to be a 8th viewer and follower of this video. Derek's tutorials are fully comprehensive and taught from scratch so that we can learn and understand full process. Good luck Derek and keep going.
I was literally just thinking about watching a tutorial on how to model a laptop in blender and your video just suddenly popped up omg. Thx Elliott for the previous tutorials and this one. You are a legend!
Found you through Smeaf, have binge watched most of your stuff, thanks for this amazing content! I have started making my own phone in 3d, leaving this here so I hold myself accountable and finish it!
This is a very good video sir,but i was wondering if you could put the reference image link for download for those who would like to practice, those people are me,but apart from that, your videos are so good😅
It's been on my list for a while for the same reasons. This one isn't crazy complicated, but hopefully is enough of a nice balance that it looks good and people can add additional details on their own
These tuts are amazing! I've recently started 3d and blender (coming from AE) and I've never had a pc issue with that. However blender and 3d is a whole new breast 😮. I'm trying blender on my mac m1 pro, and i can't even imagine rendering in cycles tbh. Rendering atm at eevee with 30ish sec per frame. Dang :/
I wish that you would host your tutorials on Udemy, a lot of people can not afford Skillshare. And they do not want to commit to a year long contract. Just a thought, you could be missing out on a lot of business limiting yourself to just one training provider.
Hey Derek, I am getting an edge left on the middle part when i extrude down the middle portion to add glow underneath, But in the tutorial i can see there is no edge left in the middle HOW??
I'm only 17mins in. But, what is the topology or otherwise, the difference between activating a bevel MODIFIER, compared to just doing "Control-B" (to go into a bevel mode) or whatever and going that route? Do they not produce the same result? I'm still learning. Thanks!
When I press the I button twice, the shape created is not precise with the original shape of the face. For example in this tutorial, when @Derek makes a box in a keyboard key the result is actually a box. but when I made it it formed a rectangle, so there were different distances between the 4 sides. does anyone know how to solve this problem?
Just one request: Also, consider the beginner's perspective; this video is extremely fast-paced and lacks an explanation of each function and its applications. I had to troubleshoot (away from the video) from the get-go trying to make the keyboard, and such instances are heavily demotivating. Great video otherwise, very informative, huge thanks.
fab video great to follow - one issue I came across when doing boolean on the ports the laptop looks paper thin but on yours there seems some thickness and depth inside the ports - I cant see what I missed in the steps wonder if anyone has same ?
