There are various methods to do a bonsai pot. One way is the 'Slab-Built Method', whereby the artist assembles the pot by hand, using flat slabs of clay. This video shows some of the stages involved in this method, before the first firing (which is called 'bisque' firing) in an electrical kiln.

We buy them ready made, i.e. imported. Advice: look for a clay that will vitrify when fired at the temperature you are capable of reaching in your kiln. If there is a potter near you he will be willing to advice you much better than me.

I see, the problem here in our country is that, people doesn't see the beauty of Pot Making, we do have earthernware sellers here but sad to say the quality is very poor. Also they are only focused on making cooking pots and no other. Anyhow thanks.

@@siboolofficial you can always try making your own bonsai pots with what you have and experiment with them. It may not be frost proof but what the heck, have fun and become trained in the technique and when the time comes and you get hold of the right type of clay, maybe you have a go and create.
