Ah! So, as per popular demand, I am making another fizzy cupcake video! I have improved my technique and recipe and I wanted to share the process with you!
I am hopeful that these will be available online very soon! As of today, they are only available in my little shop here, but after baby comes along, I would like to add them online! Yay!

Beautiful. Why or what were you brushing off the cupcakes before you added the topping? I cannot seem to get my frosting to attach to the cupcake once it hardens. Hope all is well with you and the baby.

Hi Arianne! Can you tell us what happens to the frosting when its put into the bath? I'm curious because the recipe you used was a meringue frosting that's basically edible Did you add anything to it that will also make it fizz in the bath? Your videos are wonderful and inspirational and hope you are feeling well with your pregnancy.

Some people use the frosting as a sugar scrub. My kids just destroy it in the tub! Lol! I make it mostly for the looks as the base of the cupcake is what makes it fizz! And yes, it's all edible ingredients in the frosting, but I would not eat it as it is sitting on top of a scented fizzy cupcake! 😃

Hello Ariane. I love your work and appreciate your videos. I made the meringue bath bomb cupcake frosting, but did not put them in the freezer. Opps! maybe this was a mistake because they started to fall down a little. I then put them quickly into freezer like you said for 20 minutes. Question? Can I take them out and just set them in a cool dry location and they will be alright for a few days and not flop anymore? Thank you.

Always look forward to your videos :) Keep telling Hubby we need to take a road trip down to see the shop! So maybe in a year or two, researching other things to do in the area and such. Google Maps says 25 hour drive but I don't care :) Plus from what I have seen in pictures the area is BEAUTIFUL!

short nerdy If you like being outdoors, the Magdalen Islands offer many activities! From kayaking, snorkeling with wild seals, walking down own endless beaches, biking around etc! We also have museums, an aquarium and many more attractions for kids and grown ups! :-)

Ariane - thanks for the video. Could you answer a question - when adding Citric Acid and Baking Soda, did you weigh one cup of CA and one cup of BS and use those weights (times two for the BS), or do you just use exactly twice as much BS as you do CA. A cup of BS doesn't weigh the same as a cup of CA, so I was just wondering. Does this make sense?

Kathy Tobin I measure all my recipes by weight! So if I use 500 g baking soda, I will use 250 g citric acid. Hope this helps.

I have a question about the powdered sugar. For some reason this worried me because I think about taking a bath with one of these...with the sugar, isn't there a risk of yeast infections involved?

Hi, i know this comment was left a while ago and I'm not anyone official, however most people break the icing off of the top and only use the 'cake' part of the bath bomb. you can just discard it or even keep it. What i do with them is wait until I've cleaned my bathroom then fill the sink with warm water and place the tops in there it will leave a nice scent in the bathroom once its melted and then its not wasted. Hope this helps :)

As usual.... another awesome video!!! So creative! So captivating!!! It's no wonder that you are a sought-after speaker!! FOOD FOR THOUGHT: Have you ever considered writing "HOW TO MAKE..... " books with guidelines,/rules of thumb/things to consider, and, of course, RECIPES!!! If you were to, I'd be one of the first in line to purchase them!!! It would seem that your ever-growing group of followers (myself included), once armed with the knowledge that your books contained recipes, would GOBBLE UP your books, easily making #1 BEST SELLERS!!! Write once, sell it thousands upon thousands of times!!! Even if you don't have much time left for such an endeavor, a trusted friend might be able to quietly shadow you, making note of everything you do and say while you are working, and create a rough draft for you to edit and eventually publish!!! How's that for a request!?! ... OR.... Even if you were to sell just your recipes as *.pdf documents, much like sewing, knitting, crochet, jewelry-making patterns are sold on websites which are sufficiently powered to support, literally, the world of entrepreneurs offering patterns as pdf documents - websites such as CRAFTSY.com, and ETSY.com - it would seem that your ever-growing group of followers (myself included) would leap at the opportunity to purchase them, even if they were at a premium price! YOU ARE WORTH IT!!! Ariane, please know that it is with much sincerity and humility of heart that I'm suggesting this... I know and respect that you must be incredibly busy... She uses slsa. Sls is a liquid and often irritating being a chemical. Slsa is derived from coconuts and less chance of irritating sensitive skin.

So your frosting is a thick royal icing? Does it adhere to the cupcakes well? I saw you brushing the tops of the pink ones before frosting them, what was that about? Did you do that to all the cupcakes and we just didn't see it?

Is it okay to use sugar in these products? i noticed your frosting is mostly sugar but will it irritate the skin?

The top is only to make the cupcakes "look" like frosting. Some people just discard it. Many people use sugar scrubs and other products containing sugar.

I see the difference between your 2013 fizzy bath bombs and your 2015 ones are you have no cornflour. is there a specific reason you took that ingredient out? I'm trying to make bath bombs myself. and I sit patiently waiting for new videos lol. I know how busy you are right now.

This is a tricky question! But Oils and butters for soap, citric acid and baking soda for bath bombs and shea butter for whipped body butters... And fragrances or essential oils to scent all your creations!

+Onyxstars la bomb colorants make some specially for bath bombs. No they dont stain. I make my own with La bomb colorant.

what do you usually do that the extra bath bomb powder if any left............... I put no matter the fragrance into 1 container and then if it sells goo i make a what ever size bath bomb for myself or a ???????????? bomb for someone to try and they love it

edgars mihovs She's basically making royal icing, so you can use any recipe you like. I think the cream of tartar helps stabilize the frosting, but I'm not positive.

I usually make several batches of 24 cupcakes! Being pregnant I consider I've made enough when I have 4 batches made! 😉 but I could surely make more because these fly off the shelves! 😃

My kids just play with it in the tub and crumble it to pieces! But the top is really there to "make pretty", so some people prefer to discard it once they use the bath bomb.

When I tried making these, I waited 15 minutes, came back, and they got bigger! They were totally overflowing! I don't know what I did wrong, because I followed many recipes exactly. Any recommendations?

+Alexis Campbell Too much liquid possibly? Did they look like they had started to react? It could be a humidity issue, too. If moisture comes into contact with the baking soda/citric acid combination, it'll kick off the fizzy reaction, and it doesn't take much moisture at all to do it.
