Hi! We hope you enjoy the video and our attempt at Bulalo (Hopefully we did it justice?!). You may have noticed the channel name has changed to Just Jonny & Chloe. We decided to call it this because we’ve always just been ourselves on this channel. We don’t pretend to be anyone we’re not and try to be honest and just in our reactions, feelings and expressions. In a world where many lack honesty and integrity we feel this is so important. Much love ❤️
the reason why we have the condiments on our tables whenever we eat is because we can always alter the flavors as we go through the meal. we have soy sauce, vinegar, fish sauce, kalamansi, & chili, which complete the flavors of the food. when you get to travel here in the philippines, you can go to the bulalo capital, which is tagaytay, and enjoy the authentic pinoy bulalo. plus dine with the scenic taal volcano as backdrop. love, love, love this video.
Other EU countries dont do that, It's like an insult to the chef or cook if you add more seasoning to it lmao which is kinda stupid. You paid, your food, your choice.
Hi Sweet Jonny and Chloe!! This is so exciting! Love the channel name change and the whole direction you're going. And that soup... just fabulous! I love roasting bones for the marrow, then serving with some toasted French bread. Thank you for the love you infuse into each video: it shows!! 🤗🤗
Can i suggest on your next vlog!? Since rainy season is going to start here in the Philippines, can you cook one of the famous comfort food here called "Sopas"!? I hope you can cook it. Thank you and looking forward for the wedding vlog. 🥰🥰🥰😆😆😆😜😜😜
I love the content of this channel, because they will not do only a mukbang or go to Filipino restaurant to taste the cuisine, the effort to cook of our food is very cool.
One of the best part when you eat Filipino Food will be your OWNMADE dippings ... when a filipino cook give you a food and you add extra salt/vinegar/pepper or other condements to make it to your own liking, they'll not get angry... but when you ask European and Westerners to add something to the food that they made for you they will be berserk ... this is the beauty of Filipino Food, there is no rules on how you like your food. Whether it may be More Spicy, Sour, Sweet or Salty ... no one will give a F to you as long as you finish the food
Excellent Cooking Powers of Chloe ❤️ Supper Cabbage Bulalo is a Healthy Dish and it's awesome with Red Horse 🍺 Cheers to you guys hope to see more Videos. Prince Atlas of Philippines 🇵🇭 but also a EU Citizen in Spain. Hope to see you guys When I start my European Tour
The round cabbage is common in Bulalo, not the the Chinese cabbage, which is an option if you don't have the round one. Or you can use both if the meal is for a large gathering. I usually add two slices of ginger for the beef and have white potatoes as part of the ingredients. The sauce is not really for dipping, but for drizzling on the meat or other ingredients before taking them all in on the spoon. The meat is often eaten together with the veggie, potatoes, and rice or corn and could be followed up with the warm broth. Basically, what bread is to Europeans, rice is to Asians.
Thank you Jonny and Chloe for making our foods. I'm so satisfied while watching you both eating our traditional foods. I have a request, can you make BEEF PARES? I hope you notice me ❤
Hey Chris! Glad we've been able to satisfy you 😁 Sure we can do, beef pares looks delicious - especially because we love beef brisket! Thanks for the wonderful recommendation ❤️
As always, the broll edits are amazing! Those cute emojis popping around adds more entertainment. Totally underrated channel. We’re excited to watch your lumpia episode. Its the most take-out-bring-home food of Filipinos when we leave the party. 😂 And thank you Jonny and Chloe for featuring us.
I was smiling the entire time while watching this! Great new name for the channel! I have to agree, Bulalo is amazing. My family adds potatoes to ours, you should try it the next time you make yours. Or rather, when Chloe makes it again because we know Jonny ain't cooking it. :)
Overyone let's all subscribed... love watching them... Have eh nice day. Be safe be strong...wish that someday u can show us the beauty of your country...
@@JonnyandChloe kind of or more than that. Bulalo, Sinigang, Tinola, Lugaw, Champorado, Sopas etc. are one of the best comfort foods when its Raining here in PH
Perfection - Chloe is perfectly cooking the dish. She is a good cook. I love it! You may now open a Filipino restaurants selling Filipino dishes. Keep it up, Chloe! And Jonny is your perfect taster. Kudos to both of you!
Now, i'm more homesick than ever. Bulalo is one of my favorite meal whenever we go to Tagaytay (which is actually one of the coldest place close to Metro Manila). As always, great video, my friend! Keep it up :)
I notice you're not sure how to pronounce pechay... Just stick with the rules since you know the a-e-i-o-u.. so the 'a' of pechay is the same like how you pronounce "tie" or "pie".. And dont pressure yourselves on using your hands when eating.. you dont need to if you're not comfortable.. As a Filipino, i also dont use my hands since i grew up not comfortable eating with hands.. my principle in eating is enjoy your food the way you want to eat your food.. because I know and I've watched you guys eat in hands and i know its not really comfortable to you guys.. the important thing here is that you enjoy Filipino food.. thanks! ❤️🇵🇭
I have just recently discovered your channel and I really enjoy watching your videos! You both are so fun and genuine. Hoping for you guys to have more subscribers. I'd also like to suggest that you try making and eating fresh lumpia, ube cheesecake, and pinakbet. All the love! ♡
Sounds great Cyndy! Never would have thought to use red skin potatoes, we also found the dipping sauce recipes were with fish sauce but plenty of people are suggesting soy sauce instead 😁
I don't know what to say. But how you both ate it was so authentic. I want to praise you both but at the same time a little bit angry for making me hungry in the middle of the night. Lol. 😁😁😁
In your previous vids, you ate Crispy Pata, now why not make it yourself? Try and cook Pata series... Crispy Pata Pata-tim Kilawing Pata Nilagang Pata Adobong Pata
In the Philippines, we "tenderize" the beef meat by slow boiling for several hours...you can add potatoes and "saging na saba" or plantains too. I like the way you guys eat, especially food that you like...LOL!
I love your videos. I'm born and raised as a Filipino and came from the culinary capital of the Philippines which is Pampanga. What I love about your videos is that you have respect with the Filipino culture and you always do your best to preserve the way every dish are suppose cooked but unfortunately not all ingredients are available in your country so it may come as a struggle for oyu at times. I also love the way you present yourselves on each videos. You present your selves as a sweet loving couple and always show how you love each other with the way you talk to each other. But the best part is you never forget to smile. Both your smiles is what really gets me everytime it's so viral. I hope you could upload more videos such as this one because they really make my heart Filipino heart jump with joy everytime. Keep it up guys and hopefully there will be more videos to come. Mabuhay!!! (it means "long live" as a direct English translation or "more power")
Awesome vid as usual. I love the passion you guys put into these, from the prep work and research, to the cooking, and the editing. Keep it up! Love the new name by the way :)
Ohh y o y ..u make me jealous..its my favorite..😊😋ilove bulalo❤️anyway ilove the prof.pic u change..thats great..!ohh yah .the name too its change .wow..
Most of us Filipinos actually pour the broth into our rice until the rice is drowned with the broth. That way, you scoop the rice together with the broth, all in one. Also, eating using your hands is the most Filipino way of eating. And you B roll is damn good!
@@JonnyandChloe in your plate together with rice, but not your bowl for the bulalo. That way the rice will absorb the taste of the broth. By the way it is better if you use soy sauce, instead of fish sauce for the sawsawan. Taste really really good with a lot of kalamansi.
I also like osso buco last time I lived in Italy. That bulalo imreally lioks so good and authentic. Conpliments to the chef. Laughed at the edit where you posted the head of the queen. LOL
Next you should try “LAING” Taro leaves with coconut milk it’s Filipinos Favorite vegetable dish! It’s originally from Bicol province like Bicol express
try BEAN SPROUT LUMPIA (Lumpiang Togue) instead of pork meat, use bean sprout (TO-GEH) with Garlic/Chili/Vinegar/Fish Sauce/Black Ground Pepper dipping sauce. Reminder to use the RIPE sweet Langka (the yellow color is the fruit use for dessert, while the unripe white/brownish color is the vegetable type) in addition to the ripe banana for your TURON.
