Let's make the viral caramelized onion pasta and if it is worth making... 🤔
* 4 Large Onions sliced
* 2 Garlic Cloves
* 1/2 cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
* 4 tbsp Butter
* 3 Egg Yolks
* 1 cup Water/Pasta water
* 1 cup Parmesan Cheese
* Spaghetti (or pasta of your choice)
* Salt and Pepper to taste
* Parsley (optional)
* Chilli flakes (optional)
1. Slice onions into thin slices
2. Caramelize onions for 40 minutes on a pan in butter and boil pasta while waiting
3. In a blender combine caramelized onions, garlic, olive oil, egg yolks, grated parmesan. Blend until smooth gradually adding in water (use the pasta water)
4. Toss the cooked pasta with the sauce in a large pan
5. Garnish with parsley or chilli flakes and add salt and fresh cracked pepper to taste
