Hey everyone Its been a while since the last video, but finally I cracked out the first part of my super light 1199 panigale build. Thanks so much for watching!
Very original design, I love how you used different fibre directions on your layup, it makes it a one of a kind component. With credit to you I'll steal your design for my carbon fairing for my Ducati! 🏍
Very nice work. I was hoping to see how you fabricated the brackets, but they suddenly appeared on the finished piece. Do you have a video of the process of making and installing the brackets? Thanks for posting this interesting video.
Hey! Thanks so much for your compliment! I’m working on several other videos at the moment, will be detailed in those videos how exactly I made those brackets. 🛠🤘
@@zrcarbon9937 okay I've watch this video over 10 times, how long until you put out the video about the brackets? I'll send you money via Venmo/CashApp to speed up the production process because it's killing me not knowing how you actually made the baskets and head everything work out so perfect.
agreed, I've been looking for the same thing, I have a feeling they were molded separately and just glued on. But also a little disappointed to see them just appear haha makes me think theres a part of the process he didnt want people to see
Hello, what are the names of the pieces of carbon fiber you use and where can you buy them? I'm sorry for any spelling mistakes, but I'm writing with Google translator.
Do you post cure your molds? Especially with the paste? Also, did you just epoxy on the mounting pieces after curing them separately? Thanks! Great work!
Looks great, like the random pattern design! I'll have to use the system you use for locating the mounts etc. Where I am from it's not easy to get the nice epoxy systems, prepreg etc so I use West System for most of my work. Learn alot from your videos I have watched the last 2 days! :)
I didn't like the patchwork pattern when you were putting it into the mould, but the end result is beautiful and now I think I want that pattern for my engine cover 😂 I began making my first mould tonight and hope to have my first CF prototype next week 😁 your videos have been really helpful, thank you
How did you lay up the mounting tabs? In the video you were cleaning snapped off resin from the mold, and jump straight to the stainless steel latch. Also, wouldn't it have been easier to just make one part?
Hi Sorry about the missing footage. I lost most of that process on my camera. Check my other video out to see how I did it 🛠️🤘ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RWSxcQJxLCM.html
can someone explain to me the functionality of the small lid and why it had to be done separately?/кто нибудь мне объяснит функционал маленькой крышки и зачем ее было делать отдельно?
Hey The seat cover small lid originally how its came out from the factory. I wanted to replicate the same thing. Yes it can be made into a whole piece. 🛠🤟
When you vacuum bag it, are you using additional resin that seeps into the bag, or, since it’s pre preg do you just wait for the carbon fiber to cure on its own? How does it stick together so well? Is that what the vacuuming is for?
Rear eat hump. How complex can it be? Beautiful work. Love how you delicately added the strips at the top of the hump, then had a spaz attack randomly laying the rest of the prepreg. Truly, amazing work.
Hey mate Thanks for watching! I been thinking about it for a long time. I would like to make a full cf petrol tank for my bike. The problem I’m having is, I can’t find the right tank lining yet to protect the epoxy from the petrol. Will be working on it and I’ll try to find the right material. Subscribe for more updates Cheers 🛠🤘
Very nice techniques and ideas, salute bro,. you made it! Thanks for sharing. I made one box out of fiberglass to my bicycle also, custom made,. good to learn more.🇦🇪🙏🙏🙏
Many thanks for your helpful video! however, at 17:00 approx until 17:46 after release the part from the mould while cuting out contour there is no attachement support and at 17:47 we can see the supports; that would have been interesting to see their fabrication how you laminate. I have to do nearly the same part !!!!
Hey man Sorry about that. Lost some footage of that part. Basically I made moulds of the supports as you can see in the video. Made the supports out of prepreg than I glue them back in place using the adhesive. I hope that helps for you. Will be more detailed content soon about that process. Thanks so much for watching!
nice work! seems like you would find use for one of those small handheld belt sanders. I have one and it eats carbon fiber like butter and has more control than a dremel.
Hey man! Thanks so much for your support and compliment! I’m definitely planning to make more and more content. Just curious about, what would you like to see in the video made out of carbon? Thanks so much for watching! 🛠🤘
Hey Thanks You can find the list under this video: Prepreg Carbon Fiber Ducati Lower Farings - Super Light Panigale Part 2 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8Mc483nc-xI.html 🤘🛠️
Hey I used easy composite products. www.easycomposites.co.uk/easylease-chemical-release-agent www.easycomposites.co.uk/emp160-high-temperature-epoxy-moulding-paste Thanks for watching 🛠🤘
Hey Thanks so much for your compliment! It’s still in working progress. I’ll have a video soon and I will include some details about it. Thanks so much for watching 🛠🤘
The question is for how long can this carbon fiber craze be sustained. It is very taxing on environment and takes a lot of time and effort. Just increase engine power and it would be more sustainable. Imaging the amount of energy spent on making all those supplies and then most are thrown in the trash
Hey, thanks Unfortunately I don’t make them for sell at the moment, but after I finished my bike I’ll be setting up a website for these parts. Thanks so much for watching 🛠🤘
