I have been following you for the past 6yrs, which included graduating from business school, moving from France to the UK, starting a new job, 3 flat moves, meeting my boyfriend, 10000 personality changes, but you have been a constant source of comfort and fun in my life. Your videos are my safe space more than anyone else on RU-vid or social media. Your kindness, cosiness, love for books, fun and wit comes through the camera like no other and I don't want you to ever feel like you don't deserve this space that YOU CREATED! Lucy, in all seriousness, and I don’t say this lightly, you and your wonderful content were such a comfort to me when I was suffering from awful postnatal depression and anxiety. I’ve always enjoyed your channel but that particular time in my life was dark and very few things that I had previously been interested in had any effect on lifting my spirits; you were one of the few that did. I can’t explain the mechanics of why watching someone on RU-vid that you don’t know going about their daily life brings comfort and joy but I can tell you that it does and that it’s important. ❤

Every time I start to talk myself out of doing something, I look at it and say why not... most of the times it helps me to keep going 😅

I’ve bought new inserts for my sofa! With the layout of my living room where I lived when I first bought it, I basically was sitting in the same spot when watching TV, and because that spot was the chaise I couldn’t rotate or flip that cushion. It had a dent! Thankfully the place I ordered the couch from sold replacement cushions. Swapped out the bottom cushion inserts and it’s like new. Definitely start by reaching out to where you got the couch to see if they sell them, because it wasn’t advertised as something the retailer I used offered but they did. So you might get lucky. It’ll guarantee they will fit and be cheaper than having to do anything custom.

You've influenced how I dress, how I want to decorate my house, influenced me wanting to read more - just because of who you are. Something I think would be really good for you is Carol Dweck's Ted Talk surrounding the power of "Yet" and her growth mindset model - it can help formulate goals relating to your mindset :) know that you're loved and treasured on this lil online space and so deserve a voice to be shared xxx

I've probably watched you for about 3 or 4 years now and I find that we're going through similar things at the same time and it is so comforting to me some of the things you describe or talk about is how im feeling or whats going on in my life too. I always find your videos really nice and wholesome to watch especially when your doing stuff like this. I have been setting goals for myself too this year, as i've had a pretty terrible last 3 years so I'm making 2024 better and this has helped me figure out some other things i need to add as my good habits for the year. I dont think I have commented on here before, but I have been watching your videos for many years, and I really felt like it after watching your video, especially the part of not being worth this space. Your presence on youtube for me is like… when you feel overwhelmed, but still wanna be social - there might ble just one or two people you feel like hanging out with… you are like that for me on youtube, if that makes sense? Its always calm, funny, an emotional «safespace». I watch other youtubers as well, but especially now that im pregnant i dont feel like taking in so much at a time, especially fast paced and kind of staged stuff. I just want to listen to you talk about books, your cute coffee/tea mugs, make some goofy jokes, share some thoughts and maybe sing a silly little song. Like a sweet, funny, calm and un-intrusive friend would :)

Start of the year goals tend to stress me out so I wasn’t sure whether this video would be for me but let me say, I am actually so impressed by how you managed to work through your goals and break them down into realistic actionable pieces, you inspired me and made the whole thing sound way less scary than I was making it out to be in my mind. I like casual, less pressure content and presence! Usually I tune in when I’m putting makeup on, getting cosy, eating breakfast… it makes me feel like I’m in good company ☺️

To help with habits like that I try and preplan as much as possible - for example, whistlefish sell the most beautiful birthday/celebration/christmas cards and they’re always on great offers. You can even buy gorgeous tins to keep them in. So I bulk buy cards, put them in the tin with stamps and a pen and then I’m always good to go which makes me more likely to write and send them

This felt like the warmest, cosiest therapy session and I desperately needed it! 🧡 I'm constantly feeling like I've not earned or I'm not deserving of good things that come my way, be it the exciting job I have coming up (who on earth thinks I'm capable of that?) or my partner talking about marriage with me, or me having ambitions that feel completely self-serving and greedy almost. So I may have had a small teeny tiny cry at the start of the video 😅 I feel like every year I say to myself "this will be the year that I actually do the things I plan to do", and yet 80% of the things never happen because I tell myself ahead of time that I won't actually succeed or it'll be a flop, so I never try... My motto has always rather jokingly (but seriously on the inside) been "set the bar really low and you'll never be disappointed", but in reality I end up being unfulfilled all of the time instead. So I really should sit down and turn them all into actionable goals and habits. Essentially I need to copy and paste everything you did here 😂

You could try bulking up the sofa cushions with old blankets or pillows. It works for me!
