The 999 Technique - efficient technique for making drawer boxes.
I had a project recently where a client wanted a huge unit built for storing his record collection. The 12" records were all going to go on big open shelving, but he wanted the 7" records in big wide drawers underneath the turntables.
I hadn't done too many drawer boxes before so was shopping around on RU-vid for efficient techniques.
I came accorss what is commonly known as the quarter quarter quarter technique. By setting up a router table or table saw with a dado-stack in a certain way, you can do all your cuts without any adjustments or changes.
However, I couldn't see any instructional videos using metric materials, so here we are.
I'm calling this the 999 technique. The perfect way of making quick, easy, and strong draw boxes and trays using 18mm stock for the walls and 9mm stock for the drawer bottoms.
YOU WILL NEED A 9MM ROUTER CUTTER OR A DADO STACK THAT GOES TO 9MM
