Making Eredin's Plate Gauntlet! The King of the Wild Hunt from The Witcher 3

Continuing to work on the armor of the Wild Hunt. In this video, I will show how to make Eredin's plate gauntlet from chain mail, pieces of leather, and steel sheets.
I live in Ukraine. Surely you know that the war has come to us. I'm lucky. I am relatively safe and I have both electricity and the Internet. So I can make videos. Our entire knight movement is now actively opposing rascism. Someone from the first days of the war is already in the military, someone is engaged in volunteering to cover the needs of the military or civilians in trouble.
With my creativity, I plan to collect donations to help my friends. Many I know personally. Therefore, I leave my details for those who wish to help.

Світ Армору. Production of armor with Ukrainian voiceover. Production, shooting, editing and voiceover take around 2-6 weeks.
/ @worldofarmorua
Art of Armor. ArmorySmith. Dubbing of the main content into English. Production of armor.
/ @armorysmith
ArmorySmith. How to make armor. This is the version of the video that I edit before the voiceover and music are added. At this stage, I shorten and discard some moments of work.

Thanks for the translation, Nice being able to focus on what you're doing and not reading subtitles at the same time, though to be honest your work and videos are so good I have no problems rewatching if I miss something. I watched a lot of your videos multiple times. Wish I could be your apprentice lol. Lack a lot of tools and forms and dollies for shaping armor so I spend more time on knives and blades. My rounding hammer came from Ukraine, I'm going to try and send a donation soon.

I forgot how much editing you did with this video. You did a great job on this piece. Adore the music too, excellent job there as well. I personally prefer to hear your native tongue and have no issue with subtitles but I hope that the effort you're putting in for dubbing in English yourself garners you a wider audience and thus more patron supporters and some of that sweet, sweet revenue I hear all the kids talk about

Mama Mia! Amazing work!!!😍👏 I have cosplayed as Eredin and have had to make that gauntlet twice! I did it through 3d modeling and 3d printing the pieces in plastic. Had to study gauntlet design to make sense of it all. Great work! This is so helpful in teaching others how armor functions mechanically.

Really appreciate the effort you put into this! I am from Belgium, where it is normal to read subtitles and I am more used to it than listening to my own language on tv or in RU-vid, but there are many people for whom this can be very distracting and exhausting! However, normally I will keep using the Russian videos, as I like to use them to learn Russian through interesting content. So for me the most important part is that you keep subtitling the Russian ones, so I can maximalise my learning effort, learning interesting new vocabulary in the process.

"Always Add Acid", a saying from my aunt that she learned in the early days of the computer industry here in the US. Acid being added to another liquid won't splash itself, but adding another liquid to acid will splash the acid. Simple way to avoid chemical burns on the face and hands.

I had never thought about the possibility of cold forging gauntlets due to the thinness of the material, but that actually makes a lot of sense, I have to wonder if the heterogeneity of the metal that medieval armorsmiths were working with would make this impossible.

(having said that, there are artists out there who do entire videos without words. But I do appreciate the extra explanation, and I guess RU-vid algorithm doesn't like showing videos in language A to people who are watching in language B?)

While I don't mind reading subtitles on the other channel, it'll probably be easier to reach a wider audience with your videos by doing this.... and maybe 2 channels will equal more RU-vid money. 😉 Stay safe man and God bless.
