This is the final installment of my excavator forks build. I get a new spool of welding wire in and finish up the last little bit of welding, then test them out. They exhibit a few limitations, but overall work well.
I talk about the way they work and their impact on the stability of the excavator. I also go over how to set them up in either configuration. Also, I'm way behind on editing my raw video, and most of this footage was shot almost a year before this video was published. So at the end Future Mike is able to pop in with an update on how they've been holding up and the various things I've found them useful for in their first few seasons of life.
And that wraps up this project. It was a good one; fun to design and fabricate, and a useful tool at the end. I'll probably make a consolidated video sans all the rambling for anyone who wants to see the whole build in one place, but after that it's on to something else.
