Since I love the spicy-sweet combination, I am a little disappointed that this didn't work better. It does make me curious if you were to simply add a little hot--sauce (like Frank's) to the normal recipe as an experiment. As far as other things, I know from first-hand experience that most breakfast cereals will work. (Using Cheerios is actually quite good.) But in the spirit of E&K, maybe check out graham crackers with chocolate chips? Or as a savory-sweet "treat" maybe bacon bits? Because, you known, bacon. [Ha! I see someone else suggested this!]

i went to a wedding once where their "cake" was just different flavors of rice crispy treats. coco puffs, trix, fruity pebbles... i say pick your favorite random cereal and go for it!

I’ve made Oreo rice crispy treats and they were incredible. That also allows you to try different flavors of Oreos. I was particularly fond of the mint ones.

First of all, LOVED this video it was so funny and so just E&K kind of content I love lol. OKAY SO, PLEASE do ramen Rice Krispie treats, I want that to be a video so badly rofl. Will marshmallow and ramen powder taste good? Probably not? But dang I wanna see that happen lol. Next: MATCHA Rice Krispies! I saw an account on instagram post some at Halloween time and I plan on making them at some point myself, if you like matcha (or matcha flavored things like KitKats) I bet they taste awesome!!!!! Since I’ve been learning about matcha lately and idk if you guys know a lot about it, keep in mind when buying that ceremonial grade is higher quality, it’ll be brighter in color and have a better flavor than most culinary grade matcha (from my research at least lol). EDIT: ALSO, when I was at one store they had a cheaper matcha that had a lead warning, Apparently matcha can pass on heavy metals easier since you’re consuming the entire leaf in the form of a powder instead of just leaf flavored water lol, so thats my own MAIN reason for buying high quality matcha! (Also, I heard Japan is stricter in the growing process so I’d make sure the matcha is straight from Japan and not another country too) Okay I would think Cheerio Rice Krispies would taste super good and be a cool mix up from the usual rice ones. I've made this with all kinds of cereal, but that's not cursed and we want to see cursed! Would love to see a video of a bunch of different things made into "rice krispie treats". Ramen sounds like a great idea, Popcorn could be good too especially caramel corn. Maybe a cinnamon cereal with little bits of apple?

Any cereal is good in Rice Krispy treats! We used to make corn flake wreaths and dye the marshmallows green for the holidays. You should try salad croutons! And add some balsamic to the marshmallows!

Speaking of unexpected food combinations - I tried hot and sweet Thai sause on vanilla icecream one. It was delicious!

for my birthday a few years ago I did a bunch of different cereals as krispy treats, one was honey nut cheerios, which is really good, it's even better with a caramel drizzle over the top. if you want to make a successful savory rice crispy treat you may want to go the route of adding savory seasoning to the rice krispy and marshmallow combo, like, Rice Krispies, dried basil leaves, Chicken Bouillon, Italian seasoning, tomato powder, salt and pepper, then marshmallow and butter, bam Chicken soup Krispy treat.

I love the smell of rice Krispy treats so much, I use a body spray from a small business (Coconut Beauty Hut) in that exact scent. It literally has that melty, buttery marshmallow smell. It's amazing.
