They look great, I’m considering starting a small laser business in north east Lancashire and this looks like the kind of thing I had in mind to produce as non personalised stock ( not your design obviously) but something that would relate to the pendle area. I was wondering if you had any experience with using lasers in your work. In your example you would be able to create a negative of the design and inset it as marquetry which would hide the Charing from the laser. Although as an asthete I very much admire the work produced by cnc carving machines.
I have small laser engraver I use for putting my logo on things, however nothing more advanced than that. I've seen the marquetry technique you described in other videos though, the level of detail you can achieve on the inlays is amazing. Good luck with your plans.
That’s cool! You could make a door with that design repeated for the top and bottom panel with the bar in the middle detailing some of the foundry history or Manchester history
