Casually binging your videos and Mickey's life in this game gives me strong lockdown vibes.

Oh my god, this was my first PC game ever. I was 4 or 5 then, and this brings back so many memories. I also tried looking for this game maybe like over a decade later without remembering the name and it drove me nuts. I'm so glad it's floating around on the net now. I swear I had this game but my memory thought there was a different clock on the wall. Well, all I really remember is trying to learn how to make sure it was always Minnie that showed up to go on a date with Mickey. For some reason I was convinced that spending time with Minnie was the only correct way to play the game.

Donald is a former Navy man. He knows how to swim for sure. In the comics, it's confirmed he has PTSD. I suspect he likes spending time with Mickey enough he politely goes with him despite being uncomfortable with it. Mickey doesn't realize it's a trigger for him.

Gloves grant higher intelligence and self-awareness to the wearer in this universe. However, Pluto has no gloves. Hence a regular dog.

Oh man I played Follow The Reader soooo much as a child. Near and dear to my heart too! It's funny cause several years ago I tried to research this game, forgot the name as well, and there was so little information online for it. I believe I found your channel because of this game!

Judging by the enthusiasm in the voice, LGR probably felt the same way Mickey's friends did during the recording of this...

I love how because the narrator repeats the selected line after a minute of being idle, she just keeps repeating "I want to quit" at the end of the video, as if she's cursed to narrate Mickey's boring life for all of eternity and wants it to end.

Not surprising that the pizza was undercooked. It arrived in under a minute. Serious lore analysis time: What time period does this take place in? The kitchen design (fridge and sink in particular) are (wild guess) from the 1920's, as is Donald's beach outfit, but Mickey still has a computer and a 1980's style boombox. (The pizza place's phone is also a really old design.)

Oh my goodness. Thank you so much for finding and playing this game. This is the first video game I have memories of playing (not counting an activity suite that was on the computer at my preschool). For YEARS I've been wondering what the name of this game was since I only had a vague recollection of what was in the game. In particular I remembered calling characters up on the phone and going into the kitchen to pack a picnic.

On the subject of Pluto v. Goofy: The official ruling is that goofy, Donald, Micky, etc. are “funny animals”, or basically human. Pluto is actually a dog, not a funny dog.

The reason Pluto doesn't talk and doesn't wear clothes is because he's just really kinky and likes to be degraded. So degraded in fact that he's not even considered the same species as Goofy

The difference between Goofy & Pluto is, is that Goofy wears clothes and Pluto does not. And according to Neil Degrass Tyson who asked Disney to explain what the rules are because EVEN he wanted to know, Disney said that, “If a character doesn’t wear clothes, they are a Pet. If you are a Character whom wears clothes, you are allowed to own a Pet.” There you go! Official Disney Lore! 😆

Mickey lives in California. As a Disneyland cast member, I can tell you it's actual canon that Mickey suggested to Walt that he build Disneyland near Toontown. Though Mickey lives in the beach region of California, it's easy to visit the mountains (foresty) or desert areas. As for Walt Disney World, his house there was actually a "vacation home" which was why he was okay with it being demolished for their New Fantasyland. Lol though we have all these back stories, the Pluto/Goofy thing is never explained!

I'm right there with you with the Printshop thing. All the little clip-art pictures were characters who had their own personalities, and I would make single-page pictures or tri-fold pamphlets to tell stories about them~

This was my first computer game ever. The hours I racked up on this as a little kid. You have a review for every last thing in my childhood almost. We're like exactly the same age or something. Wow.

Clue was my favorite board game growing up, and one of my favorite movies. It never occurred to me to collect it. I guess there have been a lot of cool versions of it over the years.

there are different carrots ones from your own earth row are usually good, the industrial ones are usually overgrown old and bad bitter because they sell them by the weight not by the taste in my country it is possible to find not ruined carrots they are just like apples but without the core less sour and more crunchy good carrots are great when you have good carrots (and good teeth)

I had a friend who did that, just wrote a single letter and changed the name based on the intended recipient. Kinda backfired when he sent the wrong letter to the wrong girl in the wrong port and they all asked who the hell the other girl was, but all's well that ends well because he ended up getting married to one of them. I'm amazed at what kind of shit attractive people can get away with, honestly.

PUR, good vegetables come from a garden when it's in season, not the supermarket. Carrots from the store tend to be tasteless. A good carrot has a slightly sweet taste, where as an old carrot is woody, dry and tends to be bitter.
