This thing is (without a doubt) the best premium 109, and within the top 3 list of best 109s in the game. The fact that it's at 2.3 is disgusting because any pilot with even half a brain cell can walk all over the enemy.
@@leeham6230 it feels like it climbs a lot faster and better than the E1 and feels more maneuverable. Plus unlike the E1 it gets access to 2x 20mm MGFF/M cannons which have the Minengeschoß rounds unlike the E3.
@@deadmangaming2535 lol. I just bought a premium 2.3 ki-44 because the game told me it climbed 21.6 m/s in RB. Yeah, it climbs slower than the BF-109 E-1, which is listed as 17.8m/s...

how dare you bring this thing into the light. I couldn't believe it when I came back to WT after a break and saw it was at 2.3 I wanted to keep quiet about it as it is the ultimate seal clubber and SL grinder. Climbs like a rocket (outclimbs most of the 109f's by quite a bit), super easy to keep engine temps in check, and double the 20mm stock of most of the other 109s, and comes in at low tier. Great video, but I feel like my scam has been exposed now :)
Watching countless videos from yourself and Green Fury have made me a real Erich Hartmann in AirRb, especially in 109s, this one included. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and congrats on 40k

Just like IRL, I still can't get the hang of using a rudder. I see you in those nice rudder turns and realize, no way I will pull it off. Wish my brain would re-wire itself enough to use it right. I had the opportunity to learn some aerobatics a long time ago in an RV-7A. Hotrod little airplane. I did great...until I needed to use rudder, and then I was boned. lol
10:19 well if i remember correctly they buffed the damage output of the 15mm so it might be better nowadays edit:they actually added HE belts to them and from what others have told me they're pretty damn good nowadays
Congrats on your 40K, well deserved. I always sucked at flying and am average at best after practice but I love watching good pilots do their thing, the way you do the commentary too is perfect imo.

Yet not everybody can look around all the time. I suppose getting random 1 missile kill and then dying is equivalent of going head one in a prop and trading
Just as a reminder (and I don't whether this is still true in the current patch): While lag probably results in most of the cases were bullets seems to visually not hit you but they do nonetheless, depending on the ammo composition of the belts the enemy uses different bullets can have different muzzle velocities. I believe the pure incendiary rounds (I20) in the later .50 belts have a much higher muzzle velocity than those with tracers. So it might appear that an enemy misses but those rounds without tracers still hit you.
This plane at 2.3? My beloved E-4 is at 3.0 and I thought they were basically the same plane? Oh well, E series is probably my fav low tier fighter in the game.
@@LaminarTurbulence Still not fun those matches in which you get downtiered against 1.3 Br planes. It also means you can't get uptiered for those that actually like a challenge.
Yesterday I play all day with fw-190 a5-u2 with stealth belts, that was the most fun I ever had with a plane in this game. German planes before 5.7 are the best
now do a tutorial on how to not go insane when playing war thunder also for sub goal video idea, maybe a going outside video where you just overanalyze casual stuff like talking to cashiers, making food and playing with an animal or something
That was therapeutic to watch! I remember the japanese prem 109 being the Bf 109 E-3 with the bad MG FF without the magic 'M' The german Bf 109 E-7/U-2 (was it dog tag reward?) was always awesome, yet with any 109 it was nerfed. Still strong af but nerfed compared to introduction level performance. Those were the days *fat belly swinging while boar hunting* ^^
huh? boar hunting and being fat is a bad combo. Yall put your gamedogs fit af and you also shoulda get quite athletic as well, them bulldawgs can't handle the pigs alone
tank you your videos help alot i just started playing war thunder 6 months ago my problem is i play on ps4 i am so use to my controller im ok at tank rb but when it comes to air rb cant move to well and look around too good but the last few weeks i have been using a keyboard and mouse it's a work in progress aiming and keeping the camera on the other player it;s going to take some time getting use too it but keep it up and thank you...
"Spaghetti Code"? It was written up in their BR change list we saw. Then again, the Japanese E7 was still listed as E3 in the files and the German 109 E-3 got the same br placement. So.....mineshell at 2.3, enjoy while we can before the server data sheet tell Gaijin it's performing too good.
@@DEFYN goes to show you if they were really looking at their BR changes list. Japanese Corsair 1a got raised in BR but the us tech tree 1a wasn't. So you gotta to wonder if it was on purpose

Ok I have a question. Why in the very last fight against the LaGG and the Yak you wanted to avoid head-ons and instead went for the 1v2? You could have killed both the Yak and the LaGG by shooting them from the front
because i know this plane has the performance to win in a longer fight A headon is at best 50/50 while being worse in this plane because the wing mounted guns. I dont like those odds, this is also more fun than pushing a headon
Performance wise I like the e model 109s but I'm not a fan of the MGFF canons. I needa conserve a bit more when using em. Other than that ty for the vid. This helps A year later edit: i love the german versions so ill definitely consider buying this one
This plane make me a lot of sl and I bought it when discount only 500ge, it's good plane for me even the first time I played I'm still not used to german planes because I only fly japanese and russia tech tree wich really good for turn fight while using this plane I have to do more of vertical manuver. But after all I really like it..
Good day to you good sir, i had an eye on this Bf 109 for quite a while, in your opinion, is it worth that 1k of GE? Also, i don't know if there was already an answer to that, but do you use any special hardware for controlling your plane, or plain and simple keyboard + mouse? Because some of those maneuvers look quite tricky to do with KB+M, at least to my sight, so i would appreciate an answer. Besides that - really liked the video, it is entertaining and helps me to understand dogfights and flying better and better, thank you very much!
Personally, if you like flying 109s then it's worth the 1k. If not, then I'd wait until a sale. Personally I never played it that much since I got the A6M5 pack to grind the Japanese tech tree, but when I do play it I enjoy a lot.
It's extremely good But it's just a lower tier E-4 Even if they uptier it to 3.0 again it's still good. Also makes decent SL, it's up yo you. There definitely are worse choices
Tranks so much for Four The German Bf109 E7/U2 has at 99% Same Stats, Same Guns but is 3.0 BR with a hell oft Bad reward multipliers… Can someone explain that?
1: go Customization 2: Go to Decals, find Axis 3: There's a red shield with two horns. Select it, press T twice to make it symmetrical. 4.Go to the left wingtip and upscale it to the maximum 5. Rotate the shield til the right horn and part of the top are showing from the leading edge. 6. Enter. 7. Go back to the same place (axis decals) and select the sword with wings and place it in the middle of the red shield, tip down, handle up, no symmetry.
if he showed his keyboard overlayed on the screen in one video like this, it would be way more enlighting than any of his guides (except energy guide obviously)
