Nice to see you in the front of the camera again. I wanna also do my one year reef tank update soon and have a lot of losses. It okay to show the not so shiny part of a reef tank.
I just have 1 display tank, the frag tank is just well... and the lab one I'm trying to "demolish it slowly", one day I will make a new for for sure ;) I'm still busy with the nano reef, some work to be done! (It's mainly because of time and being stubborn)
Now you need to modify "equipment used in this aquarium" part and change ai prime to radion. Keep up the updates, marvelous series. Apart from you, I had Bluetooth issues after the vaccination by the way 😂
With your new radion light, putting the dome is cutting the light off and creating a spotlight effect again. My advice would be to put a diffuser film on the light instead of around.
Interesting - good to see you go for the Radion ;) I mix carbo calcium and kalk and dose from the one (I just shake it up).... the BRS Soda Ash is ONLY Alk - as I understand it but also increases your pH (according to Mekele at ACI it has some long term problems) Thanks for the special edition ;)
If different kinds of lighting interests you, I have these tiny ballasts running 2 G23 plug Fluorescents and I was looking at all the different kinds of fluorescents you can get with a G23 plug. Mainly I was looking at aqua one's 2 saltwater options wondering if you could use 2 tiny T5's in layman's terms for a Pico Reef. I would google G23 plug Fluorescents to start your journey into what's out there because I've probably barely scratched the surface in options. I saw some UV options I thought you might like, only reason I'm mentioning this. They would be super intense and probably scrub algae better than anything although I don't really know much about algae scrubbers or have one, making one is also an option :).
Well you have the light 3x higher then its supposed to be and the penninsula shape of the tank doesnt help either. The diffuser "dome" is bad idea too since it blocks the cooling fan. Isnt the new Radion too high aswell? well w/e you do you :)
Yes, i'm trying to close it, just keeping it for cleaning my tool from the saltwater :P lol I might do a video this summer about my "perfect" pico aquarium
I would be careful about the kasa power strip. I used 2 of them for a while and then all of a sudden the app for them stopped working. the strips work fine but i cannot control them anymore. I tried on my android phone and my apple ipad, both apps on either device does not work. Maybe there will be an app update but I'm not expecting one anytime soon. Love your videos and tank!
@@AquaSplendor it's awesome. And you can control the speed or use larger magnets. You can also leave it on very slow and not turn it off. Slow enough so it stirs the powder slowly at the bottom.
I would also cut the outlet straw shorter so it's not so close to the powder at the bottom. The water inside should be fully saturated with kalk and will be the same concentration throughout the bottle. Alot of kalk reactors will even draw the water from the top of the containers where there isn't alot of undissolved powder.
Air climatisation? it's what is behind me, when the temperature reach 27+ for consecutive days it's on. I can't use too much my AC, it break the breaker at times (spike) and 1 AC is not enough, I'm using a huge long cord through my apartment because the electric plug are not well installed in my apartment :(
