It’s funny how everyone has a complaint or criticism to make about wemby but if they had the opportunity to have him on their team, it would be a totally different story lol. Don’t let your bias blind you from enjoying a phenom in the making, he’s only 19 years old and still doing all of this in a much more talented NBA era

Just watching these clips, you can see how truly either incompetent his teammates are, or how willingly selfish his teammates are at getting him the ball. Give him one decent PG, the guy would easily average 25+ points his rookie season. So many easy passes missed, so many runs ignored, so many good positions in the paint disregarded. It's almost criminal, really that Pop is allowing this to continue this many games into the season.

Tonight, Wemby scored 30 and made 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 7 blocks... in 24 minutes only. 5 players had more time than him : why ? He wasn't even the guy with the more shots... Strange things happen with Spurs these days.

Pop is a big reason why, he has gone with Jeremy Sochan at point guard for most of the season so far even though Tre Jones is a really competent distributor and defender. Jones has had the best chemistry with Victor but Popovich is being stubborn and won’t start him.

lol hes not overrated but still overhyped, exactly the hype like yao ming at the time . and of course hes getting as many shots as he wanted comparing to yao ming era where center only waiting for post move and alley oop . wemby is good as 2nd defender towards opponent big not the primary defender and thats actually a problem where because hes dodging all these knocks / rough play by opponent bigs most of the time. in the future , when the opponent attack they going to just switch on him and block his path as 2nd defender. and i am not sure if a big unicorn like him should actually shoot that much 3s, the last one i see was porzingis who took so much time for a comeback
