Man, I kind of bristled at Adam's comment that CEE does the same things he does at a larger scale. I mean, yes, it's a milling and turning and pressing and troubleshooting and both are impressive in their own way. But, I don't know, most of what Adam does is stuff for fun because he's successful enough to not really need to do "work" to put food on his table anymore (and even when he was doing stuff to put food on the table, a lot of it was "fun" stuff). Adam is like a professional hobbyist and Kurtis is a professional ... professional. They don't seem that similar to me. No offense to Adam or anything.
@trikstari7687
@trikstari7687 9 месяцев назад
@@delucain I think his comment was more along the lines of "Holy shit, I'm really just playing around with tonka trucks while this guy is driving a full sized mining excavator" kind of thing. I think it was more of his gaining a bit of context and self awareness of the small scale of what he does compared to someone like Kurtis.

I really liked the side-by-side split screen edit on the lathe. New feature that I don't remember seeing before! I really enjoyed it! Thanks both of you!

The split frame filming was a nice touch, to show he's working all the time, not just the lathe doing it's thing!

Great video Kurtis. When you get finished it's gonna work better than when it was new. Y'all take care and have a blessed and safe week and I'll see you on your next video.

I found this channel about 2 years ago and have not missed one episode. I think even somebody that is not really interested in engineering would find it hard not to like it.

I'm so happy that you got a shout out from Adam. There was no doubt in my mind that the content you guys produce and the INCREDIBLE competent, precise work that you show from week to week would be right up his alley. You present the work in such a way that its incredibly easy to watch and even though I know you upload on Friday I still have notifications on so I always catch them as soon as they hit my feed.

Craftsman always love to watch other craftsman. That's why Adam loves it, that's why I love it and I'd bet a fair amount of subs too. Plus it's just refreshing and memorizing to see a very skilled person show off that skill.

I do have a question though upon rewatching, why was the rough chatter spot left in the groove made for the steady rest? Was it not worth removing the roughness for the work as it was just to remove the end cap or am I just over thinking things?

I'm not surprised that Adam would wish to visit your shop. I think all of us that have been watching for a while feel the same way. You guys should built a B&B and have tours of the shop for extra income.
