With Valentines Day around the corner I wanted to cover some Pokémon pairs! And by that I mean some of the version exclusive, counterpart, and tag centric Pokémon found in my Icelandic inspired, Fyrún Region! Funnily enough I don't think Scovillain is actually a Palafin counterpart as Scovillain is actually based on a pepper plant and villains found in drama, hence why the heads have one smiling and one frowning. Also dolphins and peppers have no real relationship so

@@luccafilms2859 he mentioned that Scovillain doesn't make sense because counterpart tagmons are usually found in the same area, but you can't actually find Palafin outside of raid dens you have to evolve a Finizen to get one but you can find Scovillain out in the wild and in raid dens. Also no he didn't mention the drama inspiration just that it had Villain in the name and because of that people assumed Scovillain was a Palafin counterpart

I like Minnie's hearing-aid looks like Elesa's, and it makes me wonder if Elesa is some level of hard-of-hearing. Jawful's line being pure water makes it like a Bizarro Palafin, even being able to double-cross an allied Scovillain.

Teethen is perfection, finally a fakemon creator who realized we need more shark Pokémon and not regional variant of sharpedo, and it also fits the convergent evolution theme with finizen well

@SelfishHands oh, well they’re all obviously amazing, but the way you worded it you said “creative & imaginative” and once again all the ideas which that statement is referring to are 100% me. While I appreciate their contributions being the amazing artworks they have nothing to do with any of the ideas or concepts aka the creative or imaginative part of the process which is why I was confused. Lol

If I may be so bold as to add to the lore of Retri... I like to imagine that since Absol detects disasters coming and tries to warn people of it, Retri can detect when good things are coming to people, however it doesn't always think that they are deserving of it and may sometimes enact retribution if it thinks they are undeserving... just a little beautiful or that I think would be fitting of a counterpart to Absol

Funny that your Pokemon based on The Mask is a Regional Variant of your Pokemon based on a African tribal mask. Because according to the comics, the mask might have some of African origins, rather than Scandinavian origins.

THANK YOU for all your hard work, I can tell how much respect you have for the Hoenn region with the love, care and thought you put into each of your Pokémon and counterparts. Seeing the duality theming come to life in Fyrún is one of the reasons I LOVE supporting you! The representation of the deaf community is amazing to see, as I personally have a deaf aunt and know there are a lot of people on this planet that can’t hear. Well since it is almost Valentine here is an idea if you ever create a DLC for your region where after Team Brain / Brawn are defeated they come together to make Team Heart in order to bring harmony to the region - You know Absol & Retrl also reference a Central American myth of the Cadejo which in the story has 2 versions of this creature 1 being a black wolf & the other a white wolf where both will appear to travelers at night each of them does something to that person with the black one trying to kill them while the white one protects them from harm

typically I don't comment about something like this, but seeing an Absol counterpart is so fulfilling for me because I actually once made a fakemon back when I was like 11-12 or something that was exactly that. I called mine Zaluna :)

OK, but outside of the designs I just think it’s so sweet that you like your significant other now that you appreciate them, and that you acknowledge how divided your attention may be that you appreciate their patience and support in something you’re clearly passionate about. Not a lot people do that. Also it goes to show that as viewers we really should voice our appreciation for all the work you out into these dope concepts the designs. I know the just be time consuming. I’m actually watching this video late because I was actually pretty bummed about not having anything or anyone for valentines. call it parasocial interactions but I truly feel like with each video I learn more and more about you as a person and I’m happy that you’re happy at least. So let me guess, while Absol is able to predict when a disaster will occur and will try to warn people when one is approaching, protects people from disasters and dislikes fighting, Retri which is believed to bring good fortune it actually (deliberately) discerns disasters and harm people and it enjoys fighting

It’s kind of funny, and awesome that Pokémon are using fakemon designs now like palafin. I forgot who designed it but it’s an exact copy of the fakemon and it’s pre evolution, lol. I look forward to seeing more fakemon in future games.

my favourite pairs from this video were, of course, Wasparc and Flowatt, as well as Palafin and Jawful. But all of them are great! I find it interesting that Minnie and Magnus are the children of Elesa and Volkner. Not gonna lie I see Volkner and Flint very much as a couple in my head canon, but that isn't necessarily impacted by the fact that Volkner has kids of course. I also find the ways you've tackled Absol and Cryogonal counterparts, and how your approach to those Pokémon differ from my region. I kinda shouldn't spoil that I'm gonna give Absol the Roselia treatment, but I have. I decided to make Cryogonal a statement on global warming, based on dex entries that it becomes water vapour, also Corsola had Cursola, so why can't Cryogonal have Cryfogonal?

Ive got an idea on how u can make savolteigh or what ever u called the electric type wolverine it can be a gauntlet but instead of it being 2 its a singular claw or it could also be a sword specificaly a flamperge who have a wavy pattern and can easily be used as a lightning design or alternativly it could also be a dagger or a cythe

I love the idea of nordic Pokémon game and love norse mythology! I really like Minnie & Magnus, I'm not sure about their inspiration but I know they remind me of Magni & Modi Odinson the sons of Thor. Also shouldn't the ice giant take inspiration from Sinmara instead of Ymir?

They were definitely part of their inspiration especially as far as the names went! As far as Sinmara they are more of a companion of consort to Surtur whereas for this I want to play off the constraint fire and ice Ymir brings to the table and have them more so rival one another.

What if the evolution of cryogonal and pyrogonal fuse then, its ability would be flip coin, this poke only use ice or fire moves, when it use a fire move it's typing change to fire for the turn, if it use ice moves it changes to ice. The typing change before the move, so its moves would be stab always.... and its name would be entrogonal, entropy + polygonal, entropy is the level of desorder and is related to temperature

Don’t worry Brain and Brawn obviously will each have plenty of Psychic and Fighting types outside of the version exclusives I shared but being as they fit the themes so perfect I thought it would be fun to make a few of the version exclusives of these types. But you can’t have a game without any psychic or fighting types haha so that would not at all be the case
