That part was smart, because the peephole is meant to be something you can use as a safety measure and by her looking at the little girl and talking to her took away that sense of security to the audience. The movie really did have a ton of great moments, I'm glad they developed the characters too. Great horrible movies in my opinion gets you invested with the characters before killing them. Because now you fear for them instead of some random person who just wants to walk outside alone.

The difference between REAL actors who can just turn it on and off quickly and be convincing. And BS actors who has to "go meta" by putting on fake accents for 3 years and going "oh I can't stop now" or sending soiled underwear to their costars "as a prank! hehe!"

Just a bunch of humble actors making the most fun out of doing monotonous things like being soaked in sticky fake blood all day, hanging from harnesses for hours, going through hours of makeup all for the love of horror! Respect to all of them, they did a good job ❤

Spoiler alert: ⬇️ I love that they killed the kids in the movie because im so tired of horror movies ALWAYS having the kids live. Its so predictable & boring. Although I would've hoped the little girl die, I will admit that I'm surprised her siblings did soooo I'll let it slide. I would've liked if everyone was killed, even the pregant sister.

It was more gory than scary, but a good installment in the Evil Dead franchise. The only "cameos" of Bruce Campbell as Ash was his voice heard while the record was playing, "It's called the Book of the Dead for a reason!" and a recording of him chewing on an apple, which was the sound effect of Ellie biting out Gabriel's eye.

Funny how the movie is just as beloved by critics and the public as Evil Dead 2013. Meanwhile, the set seems so much lighter and happier than the other one where Fede Alvarez mentions he purposely messes with his actors to "make them give more raw reactions" and made Jane Levy refuse to do other horror movies for a while. It's almost as if it's possible to be a bad director? ;)
