Making of Johnny Silverhand Samurai electric guitar for Cyberpunk 2077 cosplay

The process of making Samurai electric guitar from Cyberpunk 2077 for my cosplay of genderbend Johnny Silverhand cosplay for Gamescom 2019 cosplay contest.
The guitar is my own creation including my own ideas and was inspired by the lore of the game, fanarts, official Cyberpunk booth at E3 and Johnny Silverhand's early portrayal in the game Cyberpunk 2020.
The guitar is fully functional and includes different light effects, that can be spotted through electronics window, humbucker covers and backplate cover.

Beautiful paint job🤤 Although Johnny’s guitar structure is more like a headless guitar, that guitar’s headstock actually has no tuners, just work as a saddle, which is the reason why he also install a set of fine tuners. But that 45° strings bending would probably ruin everything.

I was just wondering if anyone had made a replica of the guitar after I saw it in game and saw your video and HOLY S*&T...BRILLIANT WORK, I hope to get one made or try making my own with some help one day and play Chippin in, Ballad of Buck Ravers and Never Fade Away on it. Bloody Brilliant job. I bet Mike Pondsmith must have loved seeing it as well.

I doubt Fender would do something as unique as this. But with that shape and those bridge-mounted tuners it looks like it's right up Strandberg's alley.

do you have the 3D part files on the intertubes anywhere? or the size of the templates? I really wanna try to make this it is totally rockin!

I actually copied the size needed for the project from the original guitar parts and designed it according to their size. But I can probably make a file and upload it to Thingiverse if needed.

Does the paint on the neck fade away when you play it? The strings scraping against it I would think would fuck it up

I've bought just a second hand guitar with a shape I needed. It's called Crafter and then I did all the steps in the video to make Johnnys Guitar from it ;)
