I'm more sad that the guitar is absolutely shit than he didn't play anything from the game. I've seen "custom" shit on reverb that is more functional than this. Just like reverb though he wants 1,100 dollars for a hacked up 100 dollar guitar that is "custom".

being fr tho, how does this thing can hold tuning with like that sharp curve between the headless bridge and the saddles

@@hollyc5417 gotta say that stock pickups on a 100 dollar guitar do NOT sound the same as the 20 dollar pickups you can get aftermarket. I'm sayin he didn't even do that much lol. I have a 40 dollar set and they barely sound different from my duncan I have in my other guitar

@@hollyc5417 with pots and capacitors, it's not exactly about the sound. There are different types of potentiometer roll off. some are less sudden and more usable than others. Ever wonder why your guitar is super quiet and low output til you get to 7-10 on the volume knob?

I was just thinking the same thing about the neck! I'm sure the paint will chip someday and just painting over the inlays doesn't seem like a good idea.

Pickups are looking like soviet guitar

It's not that unconventional in the slightest. There are guitars out there that are a lot crazier, guitars like this have been around for quite a while. Also this thing is actually barely playable, there are important things they didn't do to this that are crucial to function and the hardware and guitar it started as are pretty horrible and not conducive to a good instrument let alone a great one.

It's a fun prop that doubles as a playable and functioning instrument, what did you expect, a piece of art? The only two things I suppose would make for a poor playing instrument would be 1. the string break angle at the micro-adjustment bridge, and 2. the P-Bass style bridge cover when it comes to palm muting, though it could be screwed off... much like on a P-Bass. I guess you're missing out the point of being an [affordable] prop and, above all, some chill. It's someone else's project put here for your own entertainment, why bother.

@@acoffeewithsatan he wants the equivalent of 1,100 dollars for it. It's a hacked up 100 dollar guitar that played like shit straight off the factory floor. The hardware and electronics absolutely blow. The paint job is spray paint and the fret board is spray painted, if you play it bye bye paint on the fretboard and hello dead strings. If you wanted to actually play it standing up with a strap bye bye paint on on the back of the body and you can say goodbye to the paint wherever it rests on whatever kind of stand you keep it on and wherever that paint chips and cracks it's just going to end up with more and more falling off. So it's playable in the sense that you can plug it in and make noise and if you used it as a wall hanger the paint is eventually going to start cracking off anyway because cheap spray paint. For $1,100 it should at least be able to play without actually ruining the art itself and it should have a paint job that should last more than a few years, actually be playable without ruining the paint and have at least semi decent hardware. So no it's not playable art, it's a shit guitar, with a shit paint job that got hacked to pieces and slapped back together with paint that will come off if you play it and make what was a shitty playing guitar even worse. To say this thing is playable just shows you don't even understand the basics of building a guitar, let alone a good guitar.

@540マンモス look up Strandberg guitars. They have a model that the guitar in the game is clearly based on, it is practically the same as a Strandberg.

@@trillrifaxegrindor4411 True ! Unfortunately i have many hobbies , a 10 year backlog of miniatures to paint , and very little time for anything thanks to my mucho sucky job :) But if i find a job with office hours and i have more time , yeah , maybe i'll try to learn a little guitar :D

Tuning it wouldn't even help. The intonation is off because the scale length wasn't taken into consideration when switching to the barrel tuners and offsetting them. Not to mention the hardware is pretty trash and the guitar it started as was trash to begin with. I'd be surprised if you could keep this in tune for a whole song without playing any leads, with leads its going to go out of tune after a good vibrato let alone a big bend.

@@zakkmylde1712 There's a normal 6 string bridge under that ashtray that's in it's usual position. The headless hardware is just for tuning and the pins are there to match the string pull to the original bridge. 100% could be tunable with correct intonation. Shoulda watched the whole video my dude.

Also has a cigarette ashtray, which is completely unnecessary (especially when you're a metal player) And painting the fretboard and taping some stuff on the scratchplate are literally some of the strangest choices

Thanks for pointing out the intonation, it was driving me nuts and I was hoping I wasn’t the only one who noticed

I was wondering about the intonation too. I'm only familiar with the tune-o-matic bridges. So this setup does not have anything functioning as the saddles to accomplish that?

@@perro626 if anything, these bridges are easier to intonate than tune o matics since you don’t have to work around the strings and pickups to access the intonation screws

Yeah it looks great but that's about it. The guitar it started as was trash and the intonation is all kinds of off from moving the bridge and using the cheap barrel tuners. I would take a cheap Suire bullet to play over this. Would make a great wall hanger though.

Also, from what I saw you didn't solder the ground wire from the bridge to the pickguard ground, that thing is going to be noisy as hell.
