Solvol Autosol and a buffing wheel. Comes up like silver. btw... it's Aluminium... not Aloominum.

In the states that's how we pronounce it. Not "Al-you-min-e-yum" 😉 I hope the content helped :)

Ooh, shiney! Ever try clear coating them after or just stick with the wax? I imagine this would be even easier to do if you plan it for some time you're going to be taking the wheels or even wheels and forks off so you can get at everything easier. If I don't have the buffer or just to get at the back side easier and leave a nice shine, do you think I could use a polish sausage?

Yes, I am planning on clear coating them when I buy new tires and have the front one off. It won't be for another month or so. Until then, every time I clean the bike, I will continue to buff and clean those parts until it is clear coat time. Then, I plan on using high temp gloss Engine Clear coat. I have found that it is very durable. A polish sausage? Hmm.. something tells me that would only stay shiny until the critters licked the grease off of the tubes.
