Such a good idea! Suggestion for the furbie one next time; maybe look into Warbla to make a base. You can shape it into a more secure shape and that would help it from shifting around. Just a thought...
I love Furby's creepy cute aesthetic, but covering them in gems takes them to whole another level of this! I'm kinda obsessed with how you did their eyes, it's amazing!
I feel like we should really embrace the intersection between Decora Kei and Lolita fashion. The OTT accessories look so good together and Lolita is a great silhouette to balance out a bunch of accessories!
Aaa I love you Lor! It makes me so happy to see DIY and handmade becoming more accepted in general and especially in Lolita. :) Lots of love from Alberta!
That moment when I realize that not everybody has a giant pile of acrylic paint just lying around. 🤣 That Rilakkuma headdress is SO CUTE I love how it turned out and how well the colors in the different plusses go together. The pompom tiara is also really cute, but now I'm wanting to try new crafts especially to make a headpiece to match my Cervine Dreams dress. Not sure if I should go the "slap a skull on a headband and go crazy from there" or do an antler style with dangling chains and things. Hmmmm....
i’ve been watching you for years (since i was in middle school!) and now that i am about to head off to college, i still religiously watch your videos. they’re always wonderful and so calming and entertaining. love you :)
So cute, Lor! What a fun idea! I love the furby headband. Aaaa! Also the ad I got before your video was for Cyberpunk and it was such a tone whiplash. Haha.
I love the idea of turning toys into accessories, I'm planning to turn some of my small plastic ones into jewellery. It's just so cute and for me it seems like a really great way to give things a second life because I don't have the heart to give them away.
Just like many other people, I am IN LOVE with the Rilakuma headpiece! The colors and theme are so cute and they're perfectly arranged! Now I wanna make a plushie headpiece, but I don't have any printed dresses to go off of! XD
My favorite is the rilakuma one. But the pom pom one is super cute! One thing I do i attach a piece of felt to the headband. It helps keep things secure and you can add even more things. Because that's the end goal. Right? Lol
If you're worried about the paint chipping I'd suggest painting on a couple of coats of mod podge on!! (Or a similar sealant) Its always good to protect your hard work :)
Was just about to comment that. She should try at least some sealant so they last longer ^^ next time she should try coating a white layer first so the color layers on faster without so many coats. She did such an amazing job tho. I love every headband she made :0
So cute. You are more crafty than you realize. Here's a tip, when painting anything plastic, lightly sand it, then prime with a layer of mod poge first and after the paint. 😊
IM SO EXCITED FOR CHRISTMAS BECAUSE I FINALLY HAD ENOUGH COURAGE TO TALK ABOUT LOLITA AND I KINDA ASKED FOR A FEW DRESSES ON THE CHEAPER SIDE, MY MOM WAS ASKING FOR LINKS FOR WHAT I WANT SO I'M REALLY EXCITED TO SEE IF I GET ANYTHING!! I'm really happy my parents are so supportive and I feel like if I get something I might cry. I would be so happy
5:49 i forget what it's called, but there's a spray base/sealant you can get for doll repaints! there's lots of doll repaint youtubers who talk about it
I'm feeling very anxious right now and your videos always cheer me up! Thanks Lor!! Also I fell in love with the cupcake rilakuma and I will not rest until I own it!
For the next time you need to paint over smooth plastic, like the furbies had, use some sandpaper (soft grain) to rough-up the plastic so the acrylic paint will properly stick to it! I have done this many times and, though it is a lot of work and can be tiring, it is worth it in the end!
OMG!! I used to have that necklace from Claire’s when I was in the 4th grade then I gave it to an old friend 😭😭😭 I miss it so much. Btw the Rilakkuma one was my favorite! 💖
Awww, the rilakkuma headdress is so cute!! Also, even though the furby headdress is blursed you did such a good job recoloring and bedazzling them :) I really like the gem eyes!
A topcoat like duraclear (from the same brand as the paints) will prevent the flaking! You can choose if you want them to be glossy or matte or in-between. It might be a little hard to do with all the deco on, but not any harder than repainting them! iirc your local craft shop might id you for duraclear, I think mine did but I'm in the US
The treasure chest has really inspired me most! I think I know where I can get one of those and I have crocodile clips already. This video was awesome!
!!!!!! These were so cuuute!!!! Tbh, the furby one made me think abt Long Furby trend and I wonder........... if there's a way to combine those ahahahhaa
I recently started crafting headpieces for lolita, and I absolutely love your crafting videos! Thanks for sharing your process--you're really creative!
Oh man, I've been thinking about a Pusheen headpiece for a long time now and I think the success of your Rilakkuma one is just the push I needed to try it!! Thank you for encouraging creativity and customization!!
I've never worked with pompom balls before so I can't say if they're easy to sew with or not, but spraying the entire tiara down with spray adhesive or hairspray to keep them in place and stiffen them up should work in theory? That was just the first thought that occurred to me.
The DIY headpieces are so lovely. The Rilakuma and pom poms were my faves. The furbies had s certain charm to them but they'd creep me out in a dark room 😂
Thanks for this! I totally need to make more accessories (I say but I already have no room lol) Btw I've got a question, would you consider reacting to Jazmin Bean? They're an amazing alt (fashion and genre) singer songwriter who I think you'll enjoy very much! You don't have to make a video about it, I just think they deserve more attention and I'd much appreciate if you check them out! It's totally fine if not! Have a great day 💕
That second blouse with the ruffle neck is so cute! What brand is it? Kinekko?? I’m not sure how it’s spelled 😅 Edit: never mind, I turned on the subtitles and figured it out :D
