SO excited for Wolfmas to return, last year's was so much fun to follow. I've had one straight flush in my poker career, and it actually happened to be a royal flush. Easily made my favorite hand to play JTs
I’ve never seen a straight flush when I’ve played but it would be crazy to hit one. Love the videos, you keep me motivated to fire everyday. Been playing a lot more cause of you.
Once, in a casual poker game, I managed to get a straight flush. The reaction at the table was so dramatic that someone jokingly accused me of having secretly switched my cards with a magician's deck. The disbelief and laughter that followed made it a memorable game night.
Merry Wolfmas everyone! My wife and I were playing at our local card room a few years back and she hit two straight flushes in about a 1 hour window. They even had a promo where you get $50 for hitting a straight flush, and if you hit another within 24 hours you got $500 for the second one. It was a way fun experience, all the dealers and players in poker room were excited and celebrating. Thank you for this opportunity Wolfgang, i am excited for this to come back for a second year! I have always wanted to play on a live stream Lets Goooooo!
Around 2 years back I got T9 suited on a cutoff. The flop came 345 of clubs. At the moment I had 10 high flush. I decided make a c-bet because I was the original aggressor so I would be suspicious if I checked. I got two calls. The next card is 6 of clubs. I was a bit scared of the higher card in the club with one of my opponents, but I played another bet. One of my opponents folded and another called. What was my surprise when the river fell 7 of clubs, completing a straight flush on the community cards. This happens once every 65,000 hands!!! The first time I saw it with my own eyes. The pot has been split. It was decent game! 🎉
Straight flushes are so satisfying, especially 💎 ones Thanks for doing this again, Wolfgang! It's a very nice gesture, and hopefully, it's a great time on stream for you and all the winners. Merry Christmas to all!
Straight flush, one of my most memorable hands at the beginning of my poker playing days. Long before the boom I was playing in a weekly home game where the game was three types of seven card stud one being hi-lo 8 or better. We had very little experience however our group loved the game from day one. Stakes were .25/.50 and winning a 30-40$ pot was huge. Anyways I started with A, 2, 4 of hearts, I was last to act and the betting was capped when it got to me every round of this hand. Pulled the 3h on sixth street and the 5h on the river to make my first straight flush ever, the steel wheel as they say. Whenever I talk to any of my buddies from back then about poker we still remember this hand like it was yesterday, thanks for the vids they are always entertaining.
hate it when the toilet doesnt straight flush when i push down the handle... love the videos congrats on the growth over the past couple years.. been fun to watch
I once hit a two outer open ended straight flush to keep my online tournament life alive versus a nut flush and ended up winning that tournament. BANG!!! Love the vids Wolfgang!
Great video, very generous of yourself, and the casino. I have made in 40 years of playing poker. Exactly 3 royal straight flushes, in cash games. Always fun to get paid.
Happy Wolfmas. My favorite straight flush story is when my wife hit one against a guy who has the Ace high flush. It was in a limit game but at least the casino had a promo for hitting a straight flush. She always brings this up when I am running well to help keep me in check 😊
Flopped a straight flush or a 1,100 bonus and stacked 2 people. Happened in that crazy game it the Nugget in Vegas when we lived there. What you’re doing Wolfgang is very generous and awesome.
I hit a backdoor STRAIGHT FLUSH in a tournament the next morning after I hit QUADS, and I got maximum value on the river ripping it ALL IN as a "bluff"! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Local tourney for a pot I was not involved in. The board was showing a four liner to a straight flush on the river. Cards get flipped after a river Jam and it's nut flush vs straight flush. It's never good when the table collectively makes the "OoooOoooOOO" sound.
Nice Vlog, last time I saw a Straight flush it was the Board and the nits were afraid to bluff and just checked it down on the river for the split. Was also at the TCH Dallas like this Vlog. Maybe even same day.
Awesome video as always, we played together at horseshoe Baltimore, you picked off my bluff with KK, always enjoy your videos. I’ve never hit a 2 card straight flush in cash, didn’t once in a tournament. A few one card but that’s it. I was at a table that hit a bad beat…678 hearts on the board. SF vs. SF. sick hand and nice to still get paid for the bad beat
Never in my life have got a straight flush! the day you popped into rivers about 3 months ago and sat at the table in front of me like a random weekend I was fighting so hard not to yell BANG
Straight flush is my one time thing that only happens at home game. Can't ask for more. I haven't seen any straight flush high hand in any poker rooms either.
I once played cash game at a local Reno casino. A-2-5 flop, with the 5 2 of spades, 2 players get it all-in on the flop. One shows AA, the other, 4-3 of spades. Turns a 2, 4-3 of spades guy stands up to leave, river...6 of spades. Dude shoots his arms in the air and shouts STRIAGHT FLUSH BABAY! Every time I see a straight flush to this day, I remember his voice shouting that.
I used to only play hold’em about 10 months into beginning my poker journey. In those 10 months I’ve never hit a straight flush. My very first time playing short deck I hit a straight flush the second hand, and a couple hands later I folded on the flop and would’ve hit runner runner for another straight flush. Because of this, short deck is without a doubt my favorite game.
You’re the man Wolfgang , love the content you are putting out . I heard about this lady who purposely mucked a straight flush on the river because the other guy in the hand was being rude to her all night and she knew he had a royal flush and they would have won the bad beat jackpot
Always gotta love a good straight flush. I've never been much of a poker player, but I have been absolutely addicted to your vlogs LOL. I'm a math nerd so I absolutely love when you do math stuffs. Keep up the good work my guy!
STRAIGHT FLUSH - After a couple decades of live play I have hit my fair share of straight flushes but the most memorable was turning the steel wheel and my opponent ended up with the nut flush no board pair...he actually tanked the river as we were pretty deep (prob 2-300 BBs) and eventually called. Ahh the memories! ;)
But a straight flush against the ace high flush early once. There isn’t much better of a feeling than having the nuts and seeing someone else thinks they do.
Last time I hit a Straight Flush, I hit it on the river and after I went all in the player I was heads up against goes “you have a straight flush but I have to call” and turned over the Ace high flush.
I have witnessed a bottom end straight flush lose to a high end straight flush and hit the bad beat jackpot... no I wasn't playing at the time I was working in that casino but did get a nice tip... stay Blessed
The straight flush feels so rare. For some reason I have seen two royal flushes, and no other straight flushes so far. My best hand so far is quad kings though, I still have the best hands out there in fron to me!
One of the best feelings at the poker table is flopping a straight flush. Even better is when your opponent goes all in before you act. I'm still riding that high
Merry Chris(Wolf)mas!! My favourite straight flush story is so nice I did it twice. Exact same hand, club wheel, same opponent, and he caught a K flush and a boat. Max value!!!
Merry Wolfmas! Nothing better than turning a straight flush and having an A high flush raise and top set call. Slow play to a board pairing river to stack two opponents.
I love holding some suited connectors and drawing to the Straight Flush! They don’t always materialize but it’s fun to check raise with a draw to the nuts!
The best straight flush I got was in 2021 when I got two royal flushes on my birthday. One at 1am and the other around 8pm. It was unreal when it’s flopped and the other on the turn. I wish it had a bonus but due to covid they did not. Amazing thing you’re doing for the poker community. Happy Wolfmas!!
In college, one of the first $5 SNGS i played, i won with a straight flush over straight flush. 4 clubs on the board, I had the high end, buddy had the low end. Never stopped playing poker since!
Merry Wolfmas! I loved what Real Bobby Filet did the other day on the champions club stream where he had the QR code of the cooler he dished out where he had a straight flush!
last session there was a point when I was a relatively shorter stack at the table and I called a 3bet pre with 56h in the BB. Flop comes 8h9hKc. Playing in flow, I check, pre flop aggressor bets, I jam all in, and he calls. Turn 10h. River blank. Almost got the straight flush but still won with a baby flush against KQo. Happy wolfmas everyone!
Although the odds for a Straight Flush are higher than a Royal I feel like Royals get showed down more since people are more likely to play suited face cards.
Reason why I love poker so much and have played now for over half my 33yr old life I’d because first time I ever sat down at a live table session I got a straight flush on the 3rd hand of the night! Been hooked ever sincr
I always think of the Casino Royal scene when I think of the straight flush. Has to be one of the best movie scenes, and one of the most unrealistic poker scenes lol
Would love to play against poker with you ! Been watching you for almost a year now. Crazy to see how much I’ve learned from you ! Maybe I’ll be able to use some of those skills if we play 🤫👀 was playing a 200$ buy in and manage to have a 7 jack suited of hearts and manage to get a straight flush !!! I went up against one of my buddies who had a full house ! When he showed me he had a full house my heart immediately broke for him 😂😂😂
