Is this Aleppo soap?
@UltraObscene84

More like Aleppo INSPIRED. Aleppo soap is mostly hot process.
@ArianeArsenault
@ArianeArsenault 3 года назад
This is not an Aleppo soap, but it is inspired by this long time tradition. True Aleppo soaps are made in Syria since many generations using very specific processes that are often kept secret by the factories. It is so mesmerizing to watch how Aleppo soap is made. Sadly the war in Syria has destroyed many of their centuries year old factories. Hopefully they can rebuild 💚

Thank you Ariane for sharing your wonderful soap making with us! I remember your video when you showed us how you made hydrosol, but maybe new subscribers or those that missed it might like a quick explanation of what it is? You might also leave a link to the hydrosol video? Also, many people don't know the benefits or history of the Aleppo style soap (olive oil + laurel berry fruit oil); (quickie version)they made Aleppo soap in Aleppo, Syria for over 3,000 years and that soap was used for everything...washing skin, hair and clothes. The benefits were that it moisturized and cleaned the skin but due to the laurel berry oil it also had (has) anti bacterial and antiviral properties as well. I know that you as a soap maker have to be careful about telling people this because it can legally be construed as a medical "claim", but there are no restrictions on me letting people know. 😊

Aleppo soap is a hot process. Initially it is green, turns brown over time. Venders of Aleppo soap will cut a bar in half to show the thickness of the brown layer in comparison to the green core; it determines how old the soap is and of course plays a role to its price.
@ArianeArsenault
@ArianeArsenault 3 года назад
Yes absolutely. My soap is only inspired from the Aleppo soap tradition and in no way anything close to this old art of soapmaking. I always share where I source my ideas and Aleppo soaps are such a precious tradition in the history of soapmaking. I do have a true Aleppo soap that I have kept for SO long. 🙂

Salut Ariane! Quel savon traditionnel ... j'adore. Est-ce que tu peux SVP me dire quel pourcentage d'huile "laurel berry" que t'utilises? Hi I have a question about bath bombs presses and Air compressor I have been looking at different companies that offer presses but Before making any purchase I wanted to be sure I was getting the best quality for my money.with that said, my question is which bath Bomb press is the best in your opinion and why ? Also I live in an apartment complex with very thin wall, so I’m trying to figure out if a air compressor is something I can use at my current location and please describe in detail of how loud one can be . Also is are there any tips you might have to offer in minimizing the noise of the air compressor. Thank you so much for all the wonderful insightful videos you post.
