Activate Snowy canvas, normal summon snow, gets hit with imperm, chain canvas, negate fizzles. The deck is great, feels so good to have access to Forecast and be able to turbo out Rainbow turn 1 with a good starting hand

You fool i had to sit through the whole weather painter solo mode your tactics don't work against me

....Cause every card is a continuous equip/trap card that it also affects you. Solo mode literally weathered me down because its a hassle to keep track which monster connects to.

It is a hella annoying deck to deal with. The worse part is that Weather is a deck that only get stronger as the game goes. If you don't have an quick answer to it, you get snowballed.

That's like half my wins with my gokipole/ballpark deck

Hello fellow painter, i just want to confirm about why i put those cards, Rain painters is for activating spell/trap during your opponent's turn,something like chain 1 painter with rainbow canvas effect to summon rain painters, chain 2 painter with snowy canvas to look for spell trap you need Sun painters is when i need a trap that is already on my hand, but cant activate it that turn, so i usually use sun painter from gy to summon itself + activating 1 canvas(usually trap) from hand, also work pretty good with cloud painter since sunny painter require to send spell/trap to gy 2 kaijus because damn i lost to tower multiple times Xd, also with thunder canvas you can kaiju 2 of your opponent monster in 1 turn Sunny canvas is for otk, if you have enough monster in hand or gy, you can easily surprising your opponent with it I kinda agree that Aurora canvas is actually not pretty good, but if you know when to use it, it's pretty good (banishing invocation from enemy's hand for example after they search it with aleister, never fail to entertain me lol) Also i feel guilty enough when i put skill drain so i dont use another floodgate(not in the question, just want to explain why i dont put something like anti-spell or d-fissure), also yea you can put maxx c in it, sometimes i also put maxx c, sometimes i didnt feel like it so i take it out xd Piri is good, it gives you huge boost of consistency, but i got otk'ed by 1 accesscode way too many times when i used that card, so i take it out Hopefully this explain why i put those cards, feel free to edit the decklist, it wasnt mandatory to play those card, it just my thing to play deck the pepega way, peace

@@maunabesanika I just don't like too many non-snow names in 40. That's why I cut down on names that aren't immediately proactive and max out on Piri Reis Map. Then for similar reasons why you cut cards I cut out Kaijus from my list because they just stuck in my hand doing nothing until I had a way to deal with them or lock my opponent in with Rivalry. It's worth noting that I am reconsidering Kaiju's in the deck because of the Spright cards. I religiously use Sun Painter. The grave recursion is too valuable in my eyes because sometimes I don't want to use 3 canvases for the link or need a body I don't care about losing. Then if I had room in my usual builds for Sun Canvas I'd play it since it's one of the most proactive Canvases besides Snowy and Cloudy. I play it a lot in festivals though when the power level is a bit lower. Nothing tops a Weather Painter OTK jumpscare. It was nice to talk about the theory with you. I don't get this luxury a whole lot. Cheers!

tbf, you need to read more than 3 line of text for each cards, ain't got time for that.

Rainbow is an entire house, but what's cool is the deck has plan B in just using the art of dodge if you don't open up the stones for rainbow.

Thats so cool! I started playing Yu-Gi-Oh again with Solfachord after 20 years last summer. Now my favourite deck is Weather Painters.

Its weird how they are in the same pack but nice to see a fellow solfachord enjoyer cant wait for the link 3 to hit master duel

@@petiteexplication6249 I primarily play the TCG. MD has too many issues in what is and isn't in the forbidden list for me to truly enjoy it. But I do enjoy the fact Konami made solo mode for the game.

@@maunabesanika I like sunny too, but more often than not I can't really justify it's inclusion when I'm building for 40 cards. Painters minimum engine requirements are just too thick lol

Sadly Extrav is mandatory since prospy is still at 1 in Master Duel. You run both Piri Reis and Extrav out of necessity and it sucks.

Macro Cosmos is actually pretty bad in Weather Painters since you need your canvases to stay on field and in grave for Cloudy.

It's way too long

You can still activate effects and pay costs, but the on field effects are negated. The weather cards pay their cost to banish themselves and the effect resolves in the banish pile. Therefore isn't effect by skilldrain.

WP monsters is not face-up on the field at the moment of resolution, thus dodging the Skill Drain's effect.

Skill Drain only negates the effects of monsters on the field. The Weather Painters remove themselves from the field for cost and so Skill Drain does not apply to them when they resolve.

@@nichole2497 While you are correct that Weather Painters effects work under Skill Drain because they banish themself for cost, please keep in mind the reason it works is because Skill Drain only negates effects of monster that are face-up on the field at resolution, and a Weather Painter that banished itself for cost is obviously not. In Yu-Gi-Oh, effects always resolve where they activated.
