Zues goes crazy with phantasm dragon. You get basically two zues pops if you can successfully attack directly when summoned

I actually have a very similar Harpie list of my own AND a Poker Knight deck that uses Slifer lmao. This video felt very targeted and I love it! Will have to submit my own decks at some point

Hell yeah. Harpies are such a cool deck in the modern era, and they show their age a LOT less than you'd think, considering most of their cards are 5+ years old.

As a dedicated Harpie player, I actually have a very good record against a lot of high tier decks lol

I spend most of 2022, building harpies in duel links, which was a lot of fun actually, duel links added link summoning back in like september and harpie conductor was in one of the first few boxes, when the new Link-VRains world was added. 2022, was also the year I 100% completed my level 10 earth machine train deck, as I was simping over Anna Kaboom at the time. (don't judge me OK. LOL)

First deck I made on MD coming back to the game since I was a kid. Harpies are so much damn fun

I'd say Harpies are that one archetype that can pop off with dope plays and goes +5 at the end phase HOW AND WHY DOES KONAMI GIVES OP CARDS FOR NOSTALGIA ARCHETYPES?

@Farfa I think I speak for a larger proportion of players than you think. A lot of people enjoy the lower ranks. You can try out new decks, wacky combos or spam your low-power petdeck. You can witness interesting duels between niche decks or see some net-decker horrible fail there first meta-deck combo. That creates funny and memorable moments. Climbing in MD isn’t that hard, but it can be exhausting and boring to play against the same two or three decks over and over again, only to get some gems. I can't imagine that so many people are hardstuck and actually want to play in higher ranks. I think the majority are casual and enjoy the freedom of the lower ranks.

Harpies with no Apex Avian, mad respect. I'm not on Avian either currently but that's cuz deck space is tight in the Dragon Ruler variant I'm piloting right now.

Honestly, low Gold is where people that are true casuals chill. Silver and below (save for the start of a season) is just people that haven't played in a little bit, while Plat and above are just people that are tryhards or actually good at the game. Either way, plat and above play meta and aren't always there to have some fun.

Welp, time for me to try my hand at getting on this Bottom Table action, because I'm practically an expert on crafting weird decks that shouldn't function, but do.

The Vanilla engine is technically mandatory, Egotist targets Harpie Lady and Harpie Lady Sisters specifically, and the Harpies are only Harpie Lady when face-up on board or GY, so its only targs are literally the vanillas, the "always a Harpie lady" variant retrains 1, 2, and 3, Cyber Harpie Lady, and Sisters, and of those, the only "good" one is probably Harpie Lady 2? While the vanilla has those handy edge cases of being a vanilla Harpies were a nightmare of a grind game in Duel Links when Cyber Slash dropped, but are very much Not Fast

This deck was actually pretty good when Union Carrier and Barrier Statue were legal. Now it's been gutted to the point that you have to have a god hand just to end on Simorgh Avian Cyber Slash and Droplet/Feather Storm

Harpie Ladies is my main deck, I notice that a lot of people doesnt really know how to deal with Harpies, especially the extra deck, a lot of extra deck monster that Harpies uses are pretty much unknown to most people.... the absolute benefit of using a rogue deck....

I still have PTSD from the one time I played against Harpie Tri-brigade but my opponent just opened with Tri-brigade monsters and went for Simorgh + Barrier Statue and set a few cards. I started my turn with activating Twin Twisters and the cards I hit were Featherstorm what was chained and Hysteric Sign. So he got to search 4 cards in the End Phase including Duster and another Featherstorm and I was locked out of Monster effects and Special summons. I somehow won that game on my next turn. That is my craziest Master Duel Replay.

Harpies are like 1 or 2 godly cards from being very good

Jokers are good if you don’t draw any of the vanilla monsters as someone how used this deck to get to gold 3 it can be very efficient at run so deck down over time but it’s still not good it can be a decent stall deck since most combo decks can’t make anything happen passed turn 4 so it’s ok on that point but super fun

I actually play harpie, but not pure, I mixed it with lyrilusc, and I love that deck. I mixed a lot of archetypes with lyrilusc, even Floowandereeze (that does work, btw)

If you are intrested in harpies I would also recomend summoner monk. You get a free summon from the deck and you can easily dump hysteric sign Unfortunately I still think harpies need more support .A new fusion monster like Neo Harpie lady sister would be cool

Vanilla Harpie Lady is the best one to pick because of Unexpected Dai. This deck needs as many special summons as possible.

I don't know about master duel but in tcg harpies do something with raidraptors and then kali yuga in the opponent's turn.

Good mid to low tier deck annoying as hell against certain cards but rising above gold is iffy.

I really can't understand how harpies have literally feather duster as one of their archetype cards, an archetypal soul, skill and mind drain, avarice and histeric sign which I don't know a card to compare it and still they can't be at least rogue

3:30 - Then allow me to educate you. Here are all the tiers and ranks in the game: - Gold V - Literally anything else. The only difference between Rookie 2 and Diamond 1 is that the archetypes *MAY* be _SLIGHTLY_ worse, the deckbuilding *MAY* be _MODERATELY_ less optimized, and skill usually will not matter if their cards are good enough and your deck is bad enough. The reason for this is because no rank/tier below Gold V counts losses, so as long as you keep playing and eventually match up against a bot, someone dumber/more inept than you, your opponent disconnects, or one of the dozens of Manipulator of Souls FTK players who surrender turn 1 because they didn't open a winning hand for the 10,000th time and have to settle for 9,999, you will advance in progress. Period. It doesn't matter how many times you lose, at SOME point, you will get to Gold V if you play long enough. Similar to how Duelist Cup didn't track losses until Lv 10 (recently upped to Lv 15). so I can play a nigh unplayable deck in the tournament and still got to Lv 14 via sheer attrition. On the flip side, since not everyone plays the game every single day, or just only does the daily challenges, you can also see fully optemized, Tier 0 decks like Ishizu Tier below Gold. Something that's even more likely when the tiers shift every goddamn month. And as long as they don't play enough to reach the next their, those players can sink lower, and lower, and lower. This all results in a complete cluster fuck of a "ranking system" that neither accurately ranks, nor is systematic. And the sad thing is that that's actually the *BEST* this game has to offer because the aforementioned Duelist Cup Tournaments are even *WORSE* because I have definitive proof that the game does not always match people based on their Duelist Level, and it might not take level into account AT ALL! Also, event duels in general stopped matching people from the same tier together quite some time ago, I've seen perfectly competent played and constructed decks from Rookie 1 and 2, Bronze 5, etc. in events plenty of times so if you want a glimpse into any given tier, just check the profiles of opponents during events.

Harpies arent really thar far away from being a legit good deck tbh. The lack of a real boss monster/endboard is their biggest problem. I think they could also use a harpie lady variant that can actually special summon itself without the use of a spell card.
