Honestly, I'm so sorry so many people attacked you! No one cared to present their opinion in an encouraging way. Even if you don't like frozen cooked shrimp thawed out, close the video. Why is it that when someone does something different, we're so quick to being mean? Re-evaluate your life people. Ask yourself what are you accomplishing from being mean to someone and if its because you like to see others sad, seek help immediately. Who are you to talk so ugly to people and what's disgusting is I believe we're all adults here. Everyone's different therefore different opinions. I think she did good! I will try this! I think it will be so delicious! I appreciate the time you took into filming this video! Thank you so much! I'm buying some Old Bay Seasoning Today❤ as well as shrimp!
Soak your wooden skewers in water for 10 minutes before starting. And then, wipe cooking oil on skewers before putting food on them. It will keep food from sticking to the skewers when you're finished cooking. Thanks for this recipe! Instead of Old Bay, I always use Tony Chachere's Creole Seasoning.
@@toddmphoto I believe you will really like it. Don't use too much though. I usually spray some "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter" spray or "Parkay" butter spray.
Thank you. Here in the hills of Kentucky fresh shrimp is hard to find sometimes or it is really high priced.. This is really a great way to fix shrimp and doesn't cost that much. Thank you again and may Gods blessings and Grace be with you.
Thanks for sharing and letting me know about old bay seasoning. Sounds like it must be really good! Screw the people who said u used pre-cooked shrimp. They can make the modification to raw, it shouldnt be that hard.
Thank you so much! I was looking for a simple recipe for shrimp and this was perfect :) I just made it, I used raw shrimp and removed the moisture like you tip suggested, and it turned out great! I did everything like you suggested, but I used my indoor grill on high for 3 min on one side and 2 1/2 on the other. I also sprinkled with a little garlic and basted it a few times - crispy pieces on the outside and perfectly cooked on the inside. My shrimp is always rubbery when I steam or saute it, so this was a great triumph for me, lol. By the way, I love your accent.
I like to use olive oil with lemon zest, fresh rosemary lemon salt and pepper for my marinade. Soak up for 30 mins prior to getting ready to grill. Also and oil to ur water with skewers as it's easier to come off. Then and old Bay to the shrimp .
Looks delicious!! How do you keep your shrimp from being chewy? Did some last night on the grill and used a recipe that said 2 minutes /side on a very hot grill - still chewy☹
This is exactly what I was looking for for Mother's Day for Mom and family..Thank you so much. And I have Old Bay that i can't wait to use. I must tell you one thing for your family's health as well as your viewers. Butter is better for you than margarine. And I don't know about the Crisco Canola oil. I wouldn't know a healthy alternative as I just use butter for most fats. except occasionally use light olive oil for pans or spray olive oil. Margarine, polyunsaturated fats, and canned shortenings are thought of as fake fats and prior to their invention in the 40's heart disease was basically unknown. Butter, is a Natural fat in use for thousands of years. For the last 50 years, meat fats, butter, and eggs have been demonized and cholesterol lowering Statin drugs prescribed,. As this occurred, the heart disease and stroke rate has skyrocketed. Bacon and meat fat, butter, and other natural fats have vital cholesterol, which is now known to help keep people sharp in their minds and body tissues. The brain is made mostly of cholesterol and cholesterol is a vital healing ingredient in repair of our bodies. While I adore a good meal such as this amazing shrimp on stick recipe, I want to know that you are healthy and strong. You seem like such a darling. Can't wait to use your recipe tomorrow. If you're a Mom, happy Mom's day and to all mothers watching your video.
Tony, I'm telling you...Shrimp is just not shrimp without Old Bay. LOL Thanks for watching and commenting. Did you ever do a video about your winning? I have been so busy lately that I haven't even checked.
These would make your tongue slap your brains out!! I've never had grilled shrimp but I've also never met a shrimp I didn't like. ;-) You're right about the Old Bay, it's delicious and I use it on everything that comes out of the water, but it is also delicious in macaroni salad too as well as Tuna salad. =)
I've been hearing from a lot of people that Old Bay is the best for all seafood. I was very disappointed with it when I used it on fish. I didn't like the result. Old Bay is really good with shrimp. I grilled shrimp with Old Bay after watching this video. I liked the shrimp a lot. I made a mistake though. I only cooked 8 pieces. I should've made at least 16 pieces.
Old bay is only good for chicken, crab and shrimp. Plus it’s tell you that on the seasoning container. 7:08 But it’s also excellent for a low country seafood boil.. corn, smoked sausage, potatoes, crab, shrimp, mussels eyc. Try smoked paprika on fish it’s awesome.
Oh Angie, it is so good. Wonder why you can't get it there? Shrimp just wouldn't be shrimp without Old Bay. LOL Thanks for watching and commenting. I am going right now to send you a message about my Facebook. :)
Ok pre cook but they taste grilled and im going to try it this 4th of july and u dont have to worry about under cooked what do u suggest one of the trays with the dip in the middle if u dont want to use frozen
When you cook pre cooked shrimp lmao Only in America, i'll bet they turned out really crispy. That's okay though, i have a soft spot for shrimp and they looked delicious 😋
Well let me tell you...I don't live near the shore and I didn't know the difference between cooked and not cooked shrimp at the store until someone on here told me. I may be 64 but my parents didn't buy shrimp or crab legs or anything like that and so I didn't know about seafood. Plus when I was married he didn't like seafood that much and I still didn't learn about it. It took me getting on RU-vid and posting a video of what I thought was amazing shrimp and yall telling me different before I learned. The same way with steak. I grew up eating round steak and thinking that was the best steak around. Yall told me different on here. I've learned so much from yall and everyday there is something else new I learn. Have a great week!!!
I am the world's expert on charcoal grilling. First lay a FLAT bed of briquettes (never make a pyramid). Second place a paper towel soaked in vegetable oil (never use fuel) on the whole top then light. Third put the seafood on the grill after the paper burns down, 5 minutes. Briquettes will burn slowly and will smoke the seafood or meat to perfection. Seafood will take 30 minutes and meat one hour.
Harry Rogers Yes, I know that now but they were still delicious. All these years I have been thinking they weren't cooked and I had to cook them and really I still do. Now I just don't cook them as long but they were still so good on the grill. Thanks for your comment and you have a great day. :)
Hiya and thanks for watching and commenting. I didn't use cooked shrimp. lol I had frozen shrimp and to get them back to like a fresh shrimp, you run cool water over them for a second, then put them into hefty freezer bags with paper towels all around them and covering them and it gives them that fresh taste and texture back. Then I covered them in canola oil and Old Bay, skewered them and put them on the charcoal grill to cook. :)
421werelate Ya know, I was thinking about that after your comment and it may have been because they were thawed out and then covered in paper towels and put back in the fridge until I put them on the grill. Most shrimp are white until you cook them and then they turn pink except Tiger Shrimp. I never even thought of the color until you said something but they did look cooked. lol It had to be the way I defrosted them.
***** I am not lying. LOL It does say cooked on the bag. But I have never seen fresh shrimp here or I guess ever eaten it. However way I have cooked my shrimp they still taste delicious to us and my family and friends all rave about it. Who knows? I just cook it. Until you said something I have never noticed over the years that it says cooked and I have been making the same kind for over 20 years.
***** LOL I am what, and you say what and you are what? Sounds to me like you need to sweep behind your own back door before you start on someone else's. I did nothing but try to help people fix shrimp on their grill in this video. Sorry you have such a bad attitude. You have a blessed day and try to find something positive in everything you do and you will be a much better person.
Your accent lost me , What the hell do you put in that shrimps that you said is not shrimps without it , What the name of that thing you add in that shrimps .
Damn, cooked and canola oil? Doesn't use olive oil because it should not mask the shrimp taste but a ton of old bay is ok hehe. Gringos should stick to burgers
@@deadlynightshade9615 I think they've been cooking shrimps in Spain hundreds of years before gringos did. Olive oil certainly doesn't mask the taste. The cooking in this video is an insult to the food and taste buds. Killing the shrimp taste is with bay seasoning is ok but cooking with a tea spoon of olive oil is bad? Even kabobs is spelled wrong. Switch channels for some real cooking
Well first off if you watched the video, it was the first time I've ever used skewers for anything. I didn't know how to use them. Lol. Thanks for commenting and you have a glorious week!!
