I am reuploading this video because the copyright of the music.
I made a few small planters by using the scrap strips. Those scrap strips was cut from different types of woods.
Planing and cutting the strips to become flat. Then glue them into a few thick boards. To split them into thinner board I used table saw. To make them as small boxes, I used finger joinery with my table saw jig.

Beautiful joinery technique, with lots of intricate detail.. Pretty advanced us beginners, but doable. Thanks for sharing.

I don’t know but I was so soothing I almost fell asleep! That’s mostly a good thing. Watching what he was doing was all that kept me from nodding off

Nice work. I just got a table saw. These will be my first projects. What did you coat them with? Will that make them so they don’t soak up water from watering plants? Thanks
@victorhe7200
@victorhe7200 5 лет назад
Juan, thank you! I used Minwax Pro Spar Urethane. I gave them 5 coats. Just make sure there wasn't any gaps left behind, otherwise the mold will grow from there. Also don't use it for any food plants, I am sure that the Spar Urethane will release toxic.

Victor He another question for you. I’m buying the same planet you have. Is it not a good idea to run the wood after glue up? Is this why you scraped most of the excess with the hand planer? Thanks again.
@victorhe7200
@victorhe7200 5 лет назад
@@madsteam77 The reason I used the hand plane before feeding the planner, because I need to make sure the bottom side flat and stable before feed into the planer.

Nice. But, please, do not use a table saw to cut pieces that are shorter than the blade! Very very very projectiley!

This is worthy for any to-do list, on the flipside, have you seen some of the curious projects in Woody Hyezmar’s Woodworking Bible? Try go’gling him before he publishes it.

Most annoying thing is your music. The loop can get really irritating to the ears. 👎🏼👎🏼
