I just got to that part and I started laughing a bit, like if you KNEW this suit would get criticisms cause of these reasons then why didn't you put more effort into actually trying to improve it more??
@@voltage4176you dont always have to please every one, if u have an idea, and its that way, would you change it to please someone else? no. always stay true to yourself nigga
I will always love this suit, it has its flaws but Brandon in that suit was the first time I ever saw superman, so it’s special to me, I wish Brandon had more movies, he’ll always be superman to me but I’m glad he got to reprise his role in the arrowverse
I was at the cinema for the premiere of this classic in '06 and to think it's been almost 20 years since its premiere! the movie touched me, Brandon reminded me a lot of Chris. I think he is his worthy successor, but unfortunately very underrated...
4:21 - 🤣 Love this suit - no sprayed-on muscles, the trunks look like boxer briefs and not shorts and how depending on the light it looks lighter or darker. Unlike the Cavill suit, which had way too much going on, this look's simple until you look closer. Routh looks great in it. Louise Mingenbach's a genius. Whoever designed Corenswet's suit could have gone with this material, but now we'll have to look at distracting folds and creases in a suit that makes him look like he has a dad bod.
The shoes having the Superman symbols at the bottom are soooo unnecessary, along with the belt having his S chest. That and the muted red and yellow look bad with the bright blue, I’m surprised Bryan Singer didn’t have Superman wear a black leather suit like he did with the X-Men.
I appreciate all their hard work… but this suit wasn’t amazing. The collar was very high and tight around the base of the neck, the red was maroon-ish brown, the logo was tiny and thick, and worst of all… it hid 99% of Brandon Routh’s hard work at the gym. Dude bulked up like crazy, but you couldn’t tell very well while he was in costume.
It’s almost like the gesture of the body and clothes determine the size of the symbol. I would rather have a bigger one, almost like Alex Ross but for the suit Routh had, this seemed fitting
I think the reason why they put an S on his belt buckle as an alternative for the yellow S on the back which is usually on the back of Superman’s cape not to mention it’s kinda hard to animate a cape that has a letter on the back. So I can understand that…not to mention I do like the heel and bottom having S due to I think they try to make it alien like.
I like the suit, but i do understand where the hate comes from. The collar is definitely to high, the S symbol on the chest is to small, also why did they even bother adding it to the bottom of the boots if you don't even see them???, i didn't like the red as it almost looks a bit brown which idk why it looks like that, they could have at least made the colors more vibrant and pop out more.
I did like how the suit looked like the suit from the first two Superman movies, which they were obviously going for. But I’m sorry, the S on the Superman belt completely threw me off. That’s like Batman having a bat symbol on his utility belt. How am I not supposed to laugh at that every time I see it? 😅
But Batman does have a batsymbol on his belt in some versions. Is it really any different from having the S on the chest or the back of the cape? Why does it only become laughable when its a belt buckle?
I'm sure a lot of people love it but I think this suit is awful. Probably my least favorite of the live action superman suits. The red is almost brown. A leather cape? The skimpy speedo shorts. Why does the belt have an S on it when he has an S on his chest? It's redundant. And yes, the emblem on his chest is way too small and I don't like it's a hard plastic. It looks like a 3D printed logo. It just didn't work for me.
As a kid i forced myself to like the suit cuz i was such a huge superman movie fan. But when i spotted that the boots alone had like 6 emblems on each, that's when u know the costumer had no idea what the fuck she was doin at all.
@@DerrickVanderspooni disagree. Absolutely LOVED MoS suit, when movie was announced. BvS version had an unnecessary update and worsened some of the best MoS suit decisions.
We know Superman Suit is from other Planet and He is also an Alien., so how Alien Suit have Underwear outside in a Suit? Superman Suit is not only a Suit., that is also an Armor
Supermans suit isn’t from another planet. His costume is something his adoptive mother made for him out of his baby blanket and lining from his space pod. The whole “Supermans suit is Kryptonian chainmail” is just something Zack Snyder added for his Superman. It was never that way in the comics before that, and even in the comics it only lasted during the early part of the New 52. His suit is made on earth.
@@DerrickVanderspoon if Superman is an Alien how much more the design of His Suit? look at His Suit now it is cool right Alien stile Metal looking., unlike His Old Clothe Costume with an Underwear outisde in a Costume LOL
Well chick! You missed it then! The suit fell into the background with all the beiges and greys, so note to everyone in Hollywood? Don't hire this chick to design crap!
