Nice work as usual Wayne. I think I'd blend it in with the mudguard then coat the whole lot with a layer of carbon. That would look the biz. Keep it up mate. 👍
Gloss black up to the curve to merge with the fork leg then pink where it hits the carbon? Looks a simple mudguard support but the time and effort to get there is what makes it look cohesive, nice one.
Thanks mate, ya that’s to much work for that haha, I’ve had enough painting 🤣 Ya I’m not 100% with it but I’m limited in my tools and skills so it is what it is 👍🏻
Saw this beauty at the bike shed show today, all i can say is........WOW, what an absolutely beautiful machine, fit and finish looks top notch and that colour pops. If you ever decide to sell it, please get in touch 🙏
Thank you buddy, yes over the moon with it, she’s going down well in the shed, thanks for the support and kind words👍🏻 Will be sold at some point to fund the next one 🙈👍🏻
I can believe it, by far our favourite bike of the show in all honesty, we had to go back and look at it again and again just to appreciate the workmanship and all the details. What a transformation
Sorry to bombard you with questions but you've been really helpful. How long after basecoat do you wait before applying masking tape for the second colour and how long after final coat before you take it off. I'm getting alot of conflicting info. Im just doing a 2 tone tank so I'll shoot my lighter colour then mask then darker take off and then clear. Thanks
No problem 👍🏻 If I’m masking on base I will leave it probably an hour to be safe, or you can safe guard it by clearing your first colour, let it dry fully, then flat down and then mask out your second colour, that’s what I do some times, it gives you a safety net👍🏻 you can take the tape off pretty much as soon as it’s dry, make sure you use a lining tape on the edge 👍🏻👍🏻
