The packing wrap masking is a bloody good idea. I’m keeping that one in mind. In fact I’ll swap you an idea. If you ever need large bits of single ply card for templates get some lining paper that’s used for covering rough walls by decorators. Comes in different thicknesses too. Cheers dude!

Agreed mate, I also had a k5 back in the day, still one of the best looking bikes made, I nearly did a modern k5 style, I still may at a later date, but the k5 is still an awesome bike, so kinda didn’t seem worth it, the srad is so iconic and recognisable, plus I missed looking at my old one 🤪

Cheers dude, ya, it’s a mega bike but it just lacked in the style for me, the only new bike I like is the rsv4 from about 2017 I’ll give it a go, if it doesn’t work out then I’ve lost nothing 👍🏻
Yes the seat is massive!!! I’ve hacked so much out of it to make it flow better with the rest of the bike, I’m still not sure if I’m finished with it yes still 🙈👍🏻
The renderings look great, I don't know how you manage to cut things up and make them fit, Its definitely a skill. As you were showing us on the vid with the air intakes I was thinking are you leaving the add ons flat or are you flaring them out a bit to give it "nostrils" Without looking at the old SRAD its hard to say if it would look good or not. I have a 99' TL1000r and ive seen renderings of what people think a modern TLR would look like and they are super so this is sort of the other way round but the same. I know it will look great when youve done it. Till then, Get yourself better and dont strain anything. We can wait a bit.

Oh thank you so much buddy, appreciate that 🙏🏻 The problem is, it’s 95% all custom, the only thing that’s original is the front half of the frame and engine it’s literally a whole one off bike 👍🏻 I could build another one because I have all the templates and molds but no one else could 😜 which makes it pretty cool👍🏻👍🏻 maybe follow what I’m doing with my Suzuki on instagram and my fb dustmonkeycreations 👍🏻

@@Dustmonkeycreations no no engine swaps, more the subframe mod i was worried about but im sure there is a way to get insurance sorted. I will have a look at bemoto when the time comes. Cheers for the reply
What fairings did you use as i have a a 96 750 with the same k1 exhaust and I’m having trouble with the belly pan and lower fairings i like you idea of the cut fairings but where would i get the stepped out belly pan piece. Lovely build 😎
