Brewing and making spirits at home and professionally for 13yrs. Love the video. Don’t sweat the technique commenters. Do it your way. Great job. Cheers!
What an amazing video from start to finish. You covered everything one needs to know about making wine. Way to go. I know this was a labor of love for you. Hugs to Y'all
Great video! There are 100 things you could do "better." You guys are doing it right. Make wine that suits your tastes. I've thrown away 6 gallon carboys full of vinegar. I've had to restart yeast. If you can mess it up, I've done it. We made a muscadine wine 2 years ago where I used Alachua purple muscadines, squeezed the juice, and removed the hulls. The color comes from the skin, and we really don't care much for the purple wines we have made in the past. This wine turned out fantastic! The next time I try, it will probably be a disaster. I see you making blackberry wine from all those plants you have.
Hi bro,I really like your pineapple wine recipe,I really enjoyed watching you explain every step in detail..I am like you,I don't like to use complex methods and equipment to brew wine..pineapple is my favorite fruit but I never tried its wine, but this year,I will make it..I also like my wine a little sweet..thank you so much for making this awesome video.
@@KinfolkFarmofGeorgia home brew wine just tastes awesome,I no longer purchase booze in market, just try different recipes from awesome brewers like you.
Hey Shane , how you been 🌞. I see your growing your winery day by day 🤗. Who New when you started you'd still be makin Fine Wine💥🔥. If I had known when I was making my Tomato Wine that they had all that stuff available I have an empire by NoW. LMBO xxz ! JO JO IN VT 💞💨❄️☃️
Amazing and great video from preparation up to finish bottle wine. One thing id like to request from you is the list or brand of ingredients u used in your processing. Im Edward Amponget from Philippines. Thank You
I'm curious how much all those chemicals change the results. I've been making wines and mead for a few years now and all I ever us is tap water, fruit, bread yeast, and sugar or honey, and I've never had a bad batch and always get 12-15% abv
If you're crunched for time (for whatever reason), you only actually need to wait 12 hours for the Campden tablets to dissipate. I've never had an issue with only going 12 hours.
Just wanted to add my 2 cents.. I live in Alabama and I’ve used city water and it makes fine! I haven’t really noticed much of an issue.. I bet though in bigger cities with a higher level of population is harder to deal with..
Loved your video. Sensible and informative content. I had a brewing and distilling hobby several years ago but am in the process of re-kindling the interest now I have recently retired (at age 70). I now have a purpose-built brewery/winery/distillery in the back yard. I subscribed to your site so keep up the good work. Much appreciated. From New South Wales, Australia.
I like the way you make your wine. Seems so simple. I’m going to tried to make the pineapple and grape wine. Thanks for sharing your video. Blessings and peace ❤
id suggest not rinsing after sterilizing, if youre using a no rinse version anyway (ie starsan) :) i never thought of making pineapple wine, gonna have to try this
I love these videos I've made my own blackberry wine from your muscidine recipe I'd love to see some of your other fruits you do but I love the videos very helpful
Love the video, have you ever made strawberry wine? I’m getting into wine making and made your muscadine wine and it was awesome. Would I do it the same way just with strawberries?
Love this- I have look at other people videos and you by far the easy and professional wine maker. I have watched. You are the man. Thank you for making this video. You made everything easy for me to get started.
Thanks for the video, Well done! I have several wineries around my place and they recycle their bottles. I call them and they'll set aside as many cases of empty bottles as I ask for! I usually get 4 or 5 cases a year for free! I put them in the oven at 300 degrees for about 10 minutes and use a razor blade to remove the labels with an oven mitt. (Make sure to wash them first as left over wine will bake to the inside). Super easy and fast! Then I remove the left over glue with WD-40 or Goo-Gone and it wipes right off. The wineries here in Indiana are more than willing to help me out with free bottles. I like to give about half of my wine as Christmas gifts so I usually need a few cases a year since I don't get my bottles back most of the time. I'm definitely going to try your pineapple recipe!
Hey thanks for the video. I purchased a kit from Fontana before I seen this video. Had I know I can do your way I would have . So I have a question, my wine stopped bubbling after 3 days and I’m not sure why. What’s your opinion?
@@KinfolkFarmofGeorgia I’m in Florida. It can’t be the cool. 76 in doors. Could it be that the amount of sugar was eaten by the yeast ? It’s a Pinot Noir .
Oh Shane that sounds so good! I love pineapple! Lol Shane you had tsp on pkg and said tbsp Hey in case you haven’t heard we are having a Group cruise to Alaska in 2025 if y’all’s interested so far about 15 cabins of RU-vidrs are going! Looks so good!
The pineapple is good! But you need to try Wildberry, with Blackberry and Raspberry it is awesome and my favorite!!! Other than the Scuppernong of course;-) Keep the content coming. Greg from Stranded Sailor Wines
@@KinfolkFarmofGeorgia yeah i've got a 5 gallon batch of Scuppernong and Red Muscadine about ready to bottle now also... love it! keep up the good work!
Which campden tablets do you use? Sodium metabisulfite or potassium metabisulfite. I'm new to this and went to order some items to start and saw that there were two kinds of campden tablets Thanks
May be a dumb question, but could I mix say the grapes grown in my backyard, strawberries, and raspberries and use the same process? Can you mix any fruit together?
Awesome video! One question: I want to make strawberry wine. Do I simply substitute [roughly] the same amount of strawberries instead of pineapple? Would everything else be the same? What about other fruits, like blackberries?
Good Video! I think you could add the Pectic enzyme right away instead of waiting the 24 hours, the camden tablet shouldn't interfere with the pectic enzyme and help breakdown that fruit pectin before adding the yeast...
To soften the fruit just simmer it in water until near boiling, add the sugar then turn the heat off. Let it sit and cool back down until you can add it to your bucket.
Hi, may I ask you if this can be done In just one bucket instead of two or there is a reason why you use two buckets? And I really like that sentence you said regarding the alcohol volume... " I just don't care " Legend😅
Just started getting into making wines and mead, I was so paranoid, lol, after watching you, your almost irreverent as you make yours lol (in a good way) you keep it real. Gonna go to the supply shop down the street and grab a 3 gallon carboy, and an extra bucket. Definitely some pineapple wine in my future! Thanks for putting me at ease 😊 I know I'm a little late to the party, but would LOVE to see your take on different fruits
Thanks for the video. I'm 67 and have never made wine since a friend and I tried it in high school and we made vinegar so never tried it again. I've watched quite a few videos and have noted the concerns about exploding wine so I am going to take measures. One thing that occured to me is to put the sugar on the pineapple which will cause the fruit to leach it's juices and flavor thereby after a day I think you could toss the fruit or maybe teabag it with cheesecloth. But somehow I'd not let it be clogging the air. Thanks for that tip.
Tried this recipe, the alcohol is definitely there not tasting much of the pineapple at all hopefully back sweeting will bring out the flavor I’m looking for.
Sooo love your vid..real easy to understand and you were real thorough with the way of wine making..best vid i have seen..iv been doing a feijoa wine first time but i def cant wait to do a pineapple one..looks really inviting.crystal clear and liked the way you decorated it..thanks for sharing..
Thanks for sharing this. Excellent video. I’m going to try this. I saw another video where a guy added 10g sugar to 1 litre of wine in the bottle to make it sparkling.
Thank you for your teachings o wine. I love pineapple so can't wait to do this. you're a inspiration of not being perfect. because I'm the same way. i do herbal teas and tincture's oils ext. love to learn. ill let you know how i did this summer, KEEP THE FAITH my grammar isn't prefect my glasses are broke so if I missed something we will just forget about it and be drinking the wine. lol PEACE.
I noticed you were using what looked to me like a teaspoon for your additives and you said tablespoon, should you have said teaspoon instead. Good video and interesting to follow. Definitely the best on RU-vid I've seen. Gary UK
