Skye thank you for making these videos, you are the reason I made my first fursuit. Thank you for helping me along my fursuit making journey and one day I hope to be as good as you or at least be able to breathe in my fursuits XD
How do you stay motivated throughout the process? I started making mine in (I think) September or October of last year, and I’m only just now starting to fur it. Not because I’m slow, but because I keep taking huge breaks in between steps, and I cannot, for the life of me, seem to stay motivated and get to working on it again. Edit: I’ve now finished my fursuit head! I wanna make a tail and wings eventually, but that’s for later. Turns out the best motivator for me was one of my friends also starting to make a fursuit head. Idk why but seeing them make progress on it made me want to make progress on mine.
I had the confidence to make my first fursuit when I was 14 because of your videos. That was three years ago, I'm working on my 4th fursuit and 5th fursuit now, each one is better than the last. Thank you so much
If you started at 14, can i ask something? I'm currently 15, and am trying to plan out my first suit. But i REALLY don't want to risk growing out of it, because it won't be easy to modify or replace- do you think there's any risk of it, or do suits have more wiggle room than i thought?

My fursuit head has been in the works for two years. I finally have all the supplies to finish it (I need to pattern, fur, etc.) I have the foam base mostly done, but I'm scared to start furring and patterning because I'm very indecisive, and 8m scared I'll change my mind about something but it's too late. Basically I'm incredibly scared. That's it. I know if I dint like it I can remake it, but I don't want to. I want it to be good enough the first time so that I don't feel an urge to remake it. I'm enjoying the process, it's fun to see what my hands can create, it's just so draining and stressful, I'm not ecstatic at the idea of making another
I've wanted to make a head for years but couldn't justify the cost of the base I wanted vs. my living expenses. I saw a skeleton animal mask with a moving jaw that I thought could work as a base for a mere $12.99. I thought after that it should be relatively cheap to make an ok head. I recently added up the total of all the materials I've purchased and it came to $80+ which really surprised me. I don't regret it, as making this is a bucket-list type project for me but it really gives me a new found appreciation for the cost of fursuits!
Today I will begin to do my first furhead. I don't know how, but I promise that I won't give up until I complete this adventure. Wish me luck people, this will be amazing... I hope. Btw, thanks for share those videos with us. You inspired me. ❤️🐺⭐
It turned out bad, hello old me. Just so you know, it turned out horrible, also there WAS a time limit you started four days before the con. You ended up hot gluing the fur together in about 2 hours.
I started making my first upholstery head weeks before this came out, and now the base is almost complete. It's only how that I'm watching this-. I'd say it's coming out fine, but I'm watching this for some tips and tricks! :))
im making my first fursuit atm and the eyes ( not the pupil things ) are inprofised and it doesnt look the best but i dont have a lot of money so i do with what i have with some parts :D and im fine with it :D
My first time using foam is definitely not gonna be perfect but I’m still gonna be watching lots of tutorials and stuff to try and get it the way I want it!
Watching this after making my frist fursuit, i started at about late april/early may until the start of june, theres really worse first attempts out there, but it isnt the best, possibly gonna start one for a actual fursona today. Tbh i dont know how to end this so uh
Im actually making a head rn and i have a few designs i cant choose from,when i figure out how to send a post on youtube,and it will be a vote. If one out of 4 gets the most votes, thats the head ill be making
Do you think it's possible to add embroidery to a fursuit to add detail to the arms and legs? The fur would be short and the embroidery would be like custom patches (if that makes sense). Honest opinion!
For my first fursuit head, it is okay if I use felt instead of fur for the parts where the fur is short?I think it will save me money but I don’t know if it will look all right.
The seams will be more visible with fleece but if you are okay with that and can’t afford that much fur it’s fine! I’ve seen people make entire suits out of fleece for short haired dogs like Dobermans and Pitt bulls!
I remember my first fursuit💀 he was supposed to be a shark but i ended up with a creature with the triangle ears (can you please make these reacting to first fursuits and if you do where can i send the pic?)

Making a mask with cardboard can be fine, but it's not really the best material to use when learning how to traditionally make a fursuit (ex, with foam carving, etc) Though fleece is a great cheap alternative to fur!
@Wolfum_Floof I could be, but the 2 materials are very very different in how u work with them! Though, it could be a fun idea to mess around with. Just be careful, as cardboard grown mold pretty easily if it's an enclosed mask, n ur wearing it for long periods
Just a reminder people: Use tutorials for fur suits. I didn’t use any research nor tutorials in mine. It ended up being a cardboard wolf with hair made of grey yarn and fur being red and horribly put on. Did I mention I made it with PIPE CLEANERS?!
Hi I making my first fursuit head I really need to now where to got the mask to shave fur so you don’t get fur in your lungs and where do you get your fur it looks so soft - biggest fan!
