That is a shielded bearing if it is just metal. You need to replace the bearing. If you take the shield off, you need to do that in a really clean environment and you probably cannot replace the shield like it should be. Lots of experience with bearings.
I’m having trouble finding any information on how to square up the blade to the table, and the fence to the blade. I’ve loosened the 2 and then 4 screws and when I did so the blade and motor housing would not move how I would expect it to move, therefore I doubt that even if I can get it to square up, it would stay. Any advice or information on this process would be very appreciated. I’ve been unable to get myself into the shop and get any work done. I’m dying to tune this thing up and get back to work. Thank you much.
I have been wanting to buy a Makita 2705 for the past year after comparison shopping and reading reviews. If I were to vaccum with a good shop vac after each use how long would it take for the dust to build up like it had on this saw?? Is there even a dust port on this model that can be attached to a shop vac? One of the negatives on the few reviews I can find online has been poor dust collection.
I have makita 2711 that wont start, looks pre clean but havent opened up yet because im not very experienced with electric motors. any idea why it wouldnt start there seems to be no reset switch that ive found on it
Sorry Raj. I would need a lot more information to go on. There are many things that could be wrong with it. If you take it apart, video the process so you can see how to put it back together.
