Nice restoration work, but, why do you use that orange thin wires to connect battery to BMS? Wires should be of the same gauge of power wires
@sergaljesus
@sergaljesus 7 месяцев назад
Its just for balancing the cells when charging
@simon0721
@simon0721 7 месяцев назад
@@sergaljesus Absolutely not. That wires send power to the BMS as well. Otherwise how the tool will power up if there are no wires connected from the motor to the battery. The only wires from the motor are connected to the BMS, and the BMS takes power from the battery through those thin wires as well
@DD-DD-DD
@DD-DD-DD 7 месяцев назад
Wire gauge is chosen to suit expected current flow. These are "sense" wires that let the BMS see voltages during balancing, they don't flow any high currents.
@yeagerxp
@yeagerxp 7 месяцев назад
@@sergaljesus You are correct. You only need the heavy gauge wires for when the battery power is being used
@simon0721
@simon0721 7 месяцев назад
@@yeagerxp Following your way of thinking, if the orange wires are just for cell balancing, if I remove them the tool will work anyway, right? Wrong, that wires are for cell balancing and power on that BMS style. Use thicker motor wires is useless if the power from the battery is taken from thinner wires

I still don’t understand why these tools exist. Is it a Japan thing to have a grass shear?
