Best compressor I have ever owned. The guys told me it died on the site yesterday. I showed up hit the reset button and it fired up like the day it was bought!!
A little tight for your wrench to fit on the nut and turn it. The hose is very stiff. Make sure you don’t bend it or kink it. It is a flared fitting so it does not require any type of thread sealant.
What symptoms were you having? I’ve got the same compressor and it’s not building up pressure past 40 lbs. I bubble tested everything with a spray bottle and no leaks. I got good suction on the intake filter side and good air flow on the exhaust side.
May have been the relay but the switch was not working at all. It is a fairly old compressor and they tend to go bad after heavy extended use. does your keep running and not shut off? There are screws inside the pressure switch that adjust the shut off and turn on pressures. Maybe you need to adjust your down?
They can cause a leak but most compressors are leaking air due to a failing fitting or hose. The pressure relief valve on the bottom of the tank can also be a reason for leaking air. If your compressor is leaking, and you can hear it, then you should attempt to use some soapy water mixture and gentle wipe the mixture over the areas of suspected leaks. You should see bubbles immediately once it comes into contact with a leak
Do you mean a leak from the bottom of the pressure switch itself? NOT a hose? That is where mine is leaking from...seems like a strange failure to have. I came here trying to see if that is a common problem.
