Your english sounds first language so while the subtitles aren't necessary for you, they are however incredibly helpful when others are speaking and I really appreciate it. I do find that they have improved. The helmet thing is about air, ventilation and ease of cleaning. On a hot muggy day a motorcycle helmet gets pretty disgusting and most of them are very difficult to properly clean and dry where as the inside of skateboard helmets (almost every single substandard I have seen on your channel is a skateboarding helmet) is generally able to be cleaned and dried in about 2 minutes without effort. To properly clean my LS2's (I have a few of them) is about 30 minutes of effort and a few hours to dry in the sun. the difference between a 800p motorcycle helmet and a 3000p is often the inner area being removable to clean and very little else. The helmet thing is also a lack of understanding. If you go to either of the 2 biggest online retailors in the Philippines and search for "Motorcycle Helmet" the first page returned contains about 30% substandard or illegal to use results. "ICC Motorcycle Helmet" returns the correct results. The skateboard helmets fit more heads, store under seats easier and are easier to clean while also being cheaper so when people search for "Motorcycle Helmet" they see sub 500p units that they believe are fine. I think we need to have the online retailors do the right thing and properly categorize products to prevent this issue. I think we also need the LTO to advertise that only helmets with ICC stickers are allowed and we need to enforce this as the real requirement. There are numerous helmets I see that look like motorcycle helmets and would be ignored by police checkpoints which aren't ICC and actually are substandard as well.
G.A its not only in Metro Manila using the sidewalk as they're stall, sana all,Barangays are just waiting for they're salary😂respect to other barangays.
Coz youre here for a long time you know already the alibis and style of different drivers to elude being ticketed, but once tow trucks appear, its like magic they suddenly appear
Sana dumami pa sila Col. Nebrija and the Special Task Group para lahat ma-cover... Haayyy... Discipline is the key! More power @Gadget Addict. I am your Top Fan. More power Col. Bong Nebrija and the MMDA. You raise the level of public service and love of country.
We thank mmda for extending their clearing operations in malabon. There are plenty of road obstructions along that area. It seems that brgy officers not doing their mandate to clear main roads. Kudos to your team and God Bless!
Let's be honest, the 5 minutes thing is the fault of MMDA. They underestimated how entitled and stupid people are. You give them an inch once, they'll want that inch every time like you owe it to them.
1:42. I really admire that lady traffic enforcer. No matter how rude that old geezer is, she doesn't lose her cool. She deserves a commendation or a promotion.
Thanks for the subtitles, especially where tagalog is spoken. Always wondered what a lot of the lame excuses actually were. Now I know. They are even more lame than I imagined. Looking forward to returning to the Philippines (Quezon City, Fairview) next year. Not all Filipinos are lame and inconsiderate and I enjoy it for the most part. I have met many good Filipinos who take pride in their country and neighborhoods.
Nice bikes and substandard helmets. From my experience when purchasing my first brand new motorcycle, the dealership gave me a free helmet, same RXR brand with a visor. The sticker behind it wasn't an ICC sticker.
9:44 Most likely for comfort. However, there are modular helmets now that you can switch between full and half face. Still heavy though. Bought mine for 3k.
Pilipino. Name it and you'll have it. Pilipino. Utak ipis. Too much alibis. If possible, mmda should recruit more personnel para minsanan ang operation. Everyday na operation. Ang problema e ung pondo. Keep up the good work sirs.
Magician: "Look! I'm gonna make a rabbit appear from my hat! Abra cadabra! TAAADDAAANNNN!" Driver: "Look! I'm gonna make a driver's license appear from my wallet! *tow truck honks* TAAADDAAANNN!"
Hopefully if the LGUs see the efforts of the MMDA, it might push them towards also increasing their own efforts and replicating the hard work that was done during this operation 👍
MMDA ought to enforce and remove all traffic signs with ad's. There's a genuine chance that the sign can be overlooked and think its just an add, they need to make it a serious looking sign, no wonder people take these signs for granted.
If you check the Facebook page of the head of MMDA MPCG, you can see that his men have been removing what he described as illegal signs / ads on EDSA and other roads. They even use the MMDA logo on their signs 🤦 They put signs about not smoking in public, not jaywalking, no parking etc etc. But he said they're illegal. For me, MMDA should file a case already. It's too much when they even use the logos of government agencies to make their signs look official. It's not hard to find the people that are doing it. I found one of them on Facebook in just minutes.. he even posts the ID and contracts they have, showing who is being paid and how much they're being paid.
@@GadgetAddict unfortunately the teeth of the MMDA are not sharp to instill order especially with poor man power, all this good work that Bong and his team are doing are sadly not replecated down south and the care free attitude in general is so rampant. Hopefully your vids will start shining light. Good job GA.
Very typical Pilipino too many excuses it’s never ends no matter what situation still there’s no discipline and common sense..hopefully it don’t happen to people who are stupid not to know the rules and when happened to them it’s too late they blame themselves.. better to be safe than sorry..and another typical Pilipino even they know it’s illegal they still do it because if someone does it ,they doing the same thing if they can do it I can do it as well it’s domino effect even though it’s wrong still they does it,thats what you called stupid, ignorant and no common..until it’s too late to realise..make it more harsh penalties it’s only way to discipline this people who don’t follow the rules..
The truth is, many riders are overly confident in their riding skills. I guess that's why it's important to make them realize that it doesn't matter how good a driver you are. You cannot control other drivers on the road and accidents regularly happen unfortunately.
I'm holding off talking about it for the moment because of the ongoing case. The police responded, climbed over the gate using a ladder and eventually took the driver away in handcuffs. I'm hoping that once the case is complete, I can give an in-depth breakdown about what happened.
Sarap pagbabatukan yung tatay at nanay!!!
People may laugh at the insistence of wearing proper shoes. I used to ride a 750cc Honda. I went out one day wearing soft, suede Chelsea boots. VERY stylish. I did not believe I would have an accident. However, I hit a car coming in the opposite direction and lost the toes from my right foot. OK, I don't know if proper boots would have saved my foot but there is a chance mu injuries would have been far less serious if I had worn some. The moral for me is, the safety rules are there for a reason, abide by them, PLEASE.
Iv seen worst. Saw a guy over take and hit the opposite car. The cam aim down and not a pretty side pretty much can say his left foot blow up. If you had boots at least it may be a broken leg and your foot will be saved.
10:50 If the drivers refuse to show their licenses, the MMDA only have to say the magic words: " Towing na ito. " ( We'll tow it! ) And presto: The drivers immediately show their licenses !
Dear MMDA, sign a petition to these road obstruction blessed by brgy chairmen. And if refused, the DILG might handled the situation as simple as that. Don't let our roads became pay parking, let traffic flow.
Hi Gadget. I see those advert sponsored road signs printed on tarpaulin all over the metro. What are the laws regarding adverts on road signs? I thought the same as you that this is not proper. This type of sign would never be legal in any other country I've ever been to before. Very hard to identify what is an actual legitimate road sign amongst the chaos of ads and signs in Manila. On Ocampo St. corner Osmena Hwy, just before the railroad tracks, I see this lone obscure "no turn on left" sponsored by "Globe Telecom" placed in such a way where it is easily missed by motorists. And just around the corner, there are several officials of the city readily pulling over those that miss the sign and hand out violation tickets to the unsuspecting/unaware motorists. About 1-2 years ago, there was no such sign, nor was it ever illegal to turn right at the stoplight, even when red. Now, people are being ticketed daily for violating this sign that doesn't at all look official and taken as such. Is this legal? Or is is a ticket trap? Thanks for all that you do and keep up the GREAT work!!
It was towed. It took quite a while before it was towed because the two trucks were busy. Even after all that time, a driver never appeared. Illegally parked private, volunteer and LGU ambulances or fire trucks are a regular difficulty for clearing teams. If they ticket or tow them, people say they're stupid because it's an emergency vehicle and they should give "consideration". But if they don't ticket or tow them, people complain and say they're unfair and biased. Because they're ticketing and towing cars and motorcycles but exempting the larger vehicles which are doing the exact same thing. And potentially it can go further, to an official complaint against the enforcer or team for selective apprehensions. So it's always a difficult thing to deal with.
HHHMMMMMM…SANA MAGIGING CONSISTENT ANG LAW ENFORCERS NATIN AT MAY POSSIBILITY NA MAGIGING DISIPLINADO ANG PILIPINO , MAJORITY.🙂🙂🤞🏼🤞🏼👍 AT YAAN NA CGURO ANG SIMULA NG KAGANDAHAN AT PAG-UUNLAD NG BANSANG PINAS 🤞🏼🤞🏼
Regarding the 3k helmut fine. Not long ago and quite a few times they gave a brand new helmut to I guess a lucky few. I'm wondering if they were also fined? I'm not hating I think what they are doing is important but I can't help but feel that those who were lucky enough to be given a new helmut also didn't get a fine which I think is wrong because surly everyone should get a helmut then? I know it's not realistic but neither is a 3k fine and especially neither is not being fined and getting a helmut from them instead. Know what I'm saying m8?
I wish the Phil govt put higher pines for every using the roads for illegal parking so they will learn how to follow the trapic rules thanks to mmda officers and mr gadget for everyday video showing crazy peiople doing on the road
Some of it was confiscated. But not all. Hopefully that will serve as enough warning to prevent them doing it again. But if the barangay allows it... 🤷
I really think the MMDA should increase the penalty for succeeding apprehensions of illegal parking. Just like they do with some other violations. Instead of keeping it at a fixed penalty of P1000, no matter how many times you've been caught.
They just dont wanna wear a helmet. Some people say it gives less vision. I myself see no issue with vison and is a must for windnoise and rain. Besides just by a modular helmet its not exclusive to police. Thats what i use and its great.
LGUs should pass a resolution or a law needs to be passed allowing MMDA to add more penalty for every minute they are delayed by these motorists arguing. Let's start it with Php500 per minute. So if they want to argue for hours then prepare to pay the price. And those who refuses to give their license, no more argument, impound the vehicle.
lol the 5 minute courtesy strikes again. thing is, these mmda's can write a bunch of other tickets, but they just write the helmet or slipper (from my pov). but if they had to chase that girl to flag her down. i mean, isn't that dangerous driving etc? like could lose your license or suspended no?
7yrs na ang clearing operation malapit na mag 8yrs! Di parin matutu! Grabe talaga mind set ng mga tao🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️.. gaganda ng motor dami rin violation🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️.GA NO MORE IMPROVEMENT!
I haven't seen the statistics for how much it costs in taking care of riders that have accidents and get injured while not wearing a helmet. But if I had to guess, based on the what I know about how much the traffic causes to the economy, I would guess that you're right, that illegal parking costs the country a lot more than riders who don't wear helmets. No helmet is P1500, while attended illegal parking is P1000 and unattended illegal parking is P2000 (plus towing fees on top of that)
Wala n pag a babago
i think for us filipino about time to change our mind set to obey traffic laws in order the philippines to move forward not backward. they just don't care to break the laws like no parking, driving without license etc. I suggest to sanction with stiff penalty.
Can you imagine if they spent all day waiting for drivers to come out, and then just let them go without even issuing a ticket? As soon as the enforcer comes, they'll move the car. Once he moves onto another area, they'll just park it in the same place and leave it there for the whole day 🤦♂️ The ticket is meant to act as a deterrent. So even if there's not an enforcer on every street of Metro Manila, babysitting drivers, they will still obey the law. I guess some drivers just don't understand. Or perhaps they're simply refusing to understand.
Can you imagine if enforcers just let everyone go without any ticket, as long as they arrive within 5 minutes. Of course people will come out when the enforcer is there, and move the car. Once the enforcer leaves, they'll continue to obstruct the road for the whole day 🤦♂️
@@GadgetAddict and don't waste your energy trying to understand them. Me myself, a fellow rider and a Filipino can't understand them. Can't see the logic of bringing a helmet that they do not wear properly or having it on their storage boxes.
unfortunately for the people with good motorcycle but with substandard helmet they always think that "sayang yung helmet maganda baka magasgasan dyan lang naman ako"
