An accurate visualization of the complete Malaria lifecycle, derived from scientific data sets, microscopy and published literature on the parasite's biology. Everything presented is accurate in scale, structure, and dynamic behavior of mosquito, parasites and human cells.
The sequence visualizes the parasite infection inside a pregnant female mosquito. The camera follows the parasite as it has sex inside the mosquito's stomach, then invades her salivary glands.

It's amazing how such simple organisms have extremely complex ways of survival... This is what makes curing diseases difficult. The less cells you have, the easier it is for you to evolve and mutate, I guess.

What's great about these videos is that it leaves out the jargon of the various Plasmodium forms with complicated names - but still providing all the information of their life cycle - and is highly aesthetic to boot.

How can this complex form possibly originated from? It all seems so calculated and specifically designed to adapt and overcome. Sure over the course of trail and error this might've got this way, but what are even the chances of this happening all at the same time with all kinds of factors like location, host and temperature? Let alone the randomness of mutation. It's way too intelligent and so do I find many "random" things that supposedly work in harmony together. It's bizzare.
