"The worst thing about being bullied isn't the hitting. It's being treated like you are invisible. The kids at school would act like I didn’t exist - sitting on top of me, isolating me from the others.
The tipping point came when I decided to run for the 100-meter dash - only to dislocate my kneecap, two strides from the starting line.
I asked myself, am I really that useless that I can't even run? But then I realised something profound. If I can't run, I can speak. And that's when I decided to join public speaking."
