@Otterlily Usually the kilts have the tartan of the Clan they belong to, every Clan has their own tartan. Tartan is the design and colors of the fabric, sort of the distinctive colors of a football team The Clan is the family they belong to... They also have an animal.... My family's tartan is green and blue (i think) and the animal is the boar Hope it cleared some doubts :)
I think, because of the pattern on, and the weight of the kilts, it looks like they move slower than the rest, and this makes it "hypnotic" to look at :) Never seen this dance, kinda like it :D
@MsJuges I found one...you can too! Tall, strong, buff, handsome, legs up to...well you know. And, yeah, it's true what they say about what a Scot wears under his kilt... Seriously, though, it's great to see these guys dancing a traditionally male dance. There's not enough of that.
Honestly, humon fans, stop commenting to get thumbs up because humon "sent" you. Watch the video and comment on the video, not the fact that someone told you to watch it. This video is great though, would be awesome to see that in person.
All I can think watching the kilts is 'fwip fwip fwip fwip fwip fwip fwip fwip fwip fwip fwip fwip fwip fwip fwip fwip' and so forth. Yay for Agents 300 and 250.... ' fwip fwip fwip fwip fwip fwip fwip'
@QuiteSimply11 The swords are there because they're not supposed to step on them while they're dancing. In a competition setting, I think, if they do they are either docked points or disqualified.
My two best friends Bailey and Parker and their father Sterling are Scottish while I'm Irish. I kind of feel like a loner....But this was still awesome!
@InsignificancysAngel You are sooo right !! But there is always at least one dork who's thirsty to get thumbs up... Video: Funny. Reminds me a bit of ballet :D
@Kruzie That's because our nation is only two hundred years old, the only traditions in this nation that date older than that are from other nations, or Native Americans.
@MrsSin13 I heard that they also did it after battles with the blood and everything still on their swords and if they did the dance well it was a good omen for their next war but if they kicked swords out of place or messed up it was a bad omen.. I don't know if that true or not.
