Malema Sues Patriotic Alliance DP Kenny Kunene Over Cigarette And Drugs Smuggling Allegations.

Reneilwe Morema reports on the Malema and Kunene feud that took a nasty turn when Kunene alleged that Malema is smuggling illicit products in the country for ''extra income''. This is not the first time the two rival politicians have been at loggerheads with each other following public utterances, in January 2023, Johannesburg High Court ordered Kunene to apologize for calling Malema a ''cockroach'', however Kunene refused to apologize as he claims that Malema has disrespected every politician in South Africa including Nelson Madiba Mandela, so what he is doing now is no different to what Malema has been doing.

@Zanele-zz5mf it means that they can't call someone a criminal just because they were called ex convicts. Even the dumbest person knows that keeping information about any crime, you can be found guilty of defeating the ends of justice.

Kunene is a member of SA Parliament, if has any evidence about crime and doesn't report it, he is violating his oath. If all those people that were alleged to be criminals by CIC want to sue him they should have done it long time ago. Silence means consent.

The context and the intent behind the statement also play significant roles in determining whether it is defamatory. People have called Ramaphosa, Zuma, a criminal without a court due process grow up I do think you the one that needs to study the context and understand these are politicians if someone can draw Zuma as male private parts and seem to think calling someone a criminal who has been suspected of criminal allegations it’s not far fetched.
